Dear Will,

My name is Brantlee Fulmer, and as you may know, I’m a Board Member at the Palmetto Family Council.

The Palmetto Family Council — working in association with Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council — is the leading organization in the Palmetto State standing up for the Sanctity of Life, Traditional Marriage, and our other shared family values.

But today, I’m writing you as a private citizen to tell you why I’m voting for Ron Paul in tomorrow’s Republican Primary – and to ask you to join me.

Like most South Carolinians, the issue of abortion is something I care deeply about, and it is something I use as a litmus test for choosing a candidate to support.

As a strong Christian and an OB-GYN who has delivered over 4,000 babies, Ron Paul is and always has been 100% Pro-Life.

I’ll explain more about that in a minute.

But first, I feel like I must expose the true records Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum all have on the abortion issue.

As Speaker, Newt Gingrich often worked against pro-lifers, including:
***    Supporting taxpayer-funding for abortion and urging pro-lifers to drop the abortion issue because it was “divisive.”

***    Calling those who wanted to drum pro-partial birth abortion Republicans out of our party “arrogant.”

Honestly, I don’t think candidates who support partial birth abortion have any business soiling the Republican Party’s brand.

***    Even in Newt Gingrich’s book, Winning the Future, he doesn’t mention the Right to Life issue once!

His book even has a chapter on out-of-control judges, and there is ZERO mention of Roe v. Wade!

I don’t know about you, but I think stopping the slaughter of the unborn should be a top priority for our federal government and cannot be ignored.

Like Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum’s record also leaves much to be desired.

***    Rick Santorum voted for Title X funding, which gives hundreds of millions in taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood – the nation’s largest abortion provider.

***    Rick Santorum endorsed pro-abortion liberals like Arlen Specter over pro-life conservatives multiple times.

***    Santorum’s own PAC raised funds from grassroots pro-lifers all over the country and handed them to pro-abortion candidates.

Of course, Mitt Romney’s flip-flops are well known.

***     When running for office previously, he answered Planned Parenthood’s survey 100% pro-abortion.

***    Not only that, but his “RomneyCare” plan he still stands by included taxpayer-funded abortions.

The good news is, Ron Paul has been a leader for the pro-life cause in Congress.

And as President, he won’t just talk a good game, he’ll make ending abortion-on-demand a top priority.

Of course, often all pro-lifers like you and me can get from Republican candidates for President is a promise that they’ll appoint pro-life judges.

That’s good.  But it’s only a start.

Ron Paul goes a step further.  Actually, many steps further.

First, he’s pledged to veto ANY budget that includes a dime of funding for Planned Parenthood or any other abortion provider.

Ron Paul has also introduced – and will fight to pass as President – legislation to repeal Roe v. Wade, federally define that life begins at conception, and strip federal judges of any ability to impose pro-abortion views.

This would allow us here in South Carolina and elsewhere to ban abortion while pro-lifers like you and me fight to finally end abortion nationwide with a Constitutional Amendment.

Under a Ron Paul presidency, we’ll start saving unborn lives NOW.  Not later.  Not sometime in the future.

For Life,

Brantlee Fulmer

P.S.  Only one of our candidates for President can truly say he’s 100% pro-life.  That candidate is Ron Paul.

Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney have all betrayed you and me in the past.

If you care tremendously about the issue of life like I do, I hope you’ll join me in voting for Dr. Paul tomorrow.
