Two days after she appeared in an unflattering piece on our website (well, it was actually more unflattering to her douchebag husband than it was to her), WIS TV 10 sports anchor Mandy Mitchell announced that she’s leaving the station.

“I’m headed to Raleigh to work for WRAL,” Mitchell said on her Twitter page. “I can say, without exaggeration, that it’s a dream come true to get this opportunity. I’m very lucky.”

Prior to working at WIS, Mitchell spent three years at WPDE covering the Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers.

Mitchell’s last day at WIS was Thursday. She starts her new job on August 1.

Sadly, Mitchell isn’t taking her husband  – radio host Heath Cline – with her.

“For those asking— My better half WILL continue to do his radio show here in Columbia.”

Once again, South Carolina’s clearly getting the worst of this deal.

UPDATE: Obviously, our post about Mitchell had NOTHING to do with her decision to bolt for a bigger market. In fact, Mitchell says she agreed to terms with WRAL two months ago.
