S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley gave “Republicans” in the S.C. House of Representatives an inadvertent compliment recently when she asked her $1-a-year (now $122,000-a-year) deputy chief of staff Christian Soura to explain the particulars of her budget proposals to them.
“Put it in eighth-grade terms so they can understand,” Haley told Soura.
