PLAYBOY EX-POLITICIAN LOOKING TO GET IN SHAPE FOR UPCOMING SEASON …

Former South Carolina treasurer Thomas Ravenel says he will participate in a fourth season of Bravo TV’s Southern Charm reality television show.

That’s according to a voicemail message obtained by this website …

We’re in the process of obtaining permission to publish the audio from this message … so stay tuned.

In the voicemail recording, Ravenel tells the female recipient of his call that he is eager to get in shape for the upcoming season of Southern Charm – specifically expressing dissatisfaction with his “beer gut.”

He then requests assistance from the woman in the form of a new workout regimen, telling her she has “a phenomenal physique.”

Ha!  Work it, T-Rav … work it.

According to Ravenel’s message, filming for Southern Charm’s fourth season is about to begin – and is scheduled to last “for several months.”

It’s been a relatively quiet summer for the 54-year-old playboy, who is in the midst of a contentious custody battle with his Southern Charm co-star (and ex-girlfriend) Kathryn Dennis.

Ravenel and Dennis have two children together – two-year-old Kensington Calhoun Ravenel and ten-month-old son St. Julien Rembert Ravenel (a.k.a. “Saint”).

Dennis didn’t start off as one of the show’s original cast members, but since becoming a “regular” during Southern Charm‘s second season she has been driving its ratings surges.

The 25-year-old redhead bombshell recently returned from a stint in a California rehabilitation clinic – looking amazing.  She has yet to confirm whether she will participate in a fourth season of the show.

In fact, a report last week in The Inquisitr suggested a fourth season of the show was unlikely due to co-star/ producer Whitney Sudler-Smith‘s recent decision to move to Italy.

Really?

Frankly, we’ve never viewed the Southern Charm storylines involving Sudler-Smith as especially compelling – unless of course they were connected to Ravenel and Dennis’ drama.

Ravenel was elected treasurer of South Carolina in 2006 and seemed in line for a promising political career.  Unfortunately for him, everything unraveled when he was arrested on cocaine charges in 2007.  He attempted a political comeback in 2014, but that bid flamed out spectacularly.

Needless to say, he’s had his fair share of drama since then …
