ONE CAPITOL POLICEMAN WOUNDED, SHOOTER IN CUSTODY
The U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. was placed on lockdown Monday afternoon in response to an active shooter at the facility’s visitors center.
Capitol Police barred anyone from entering or exiting any buildings on the Capitol Hill complex – and those outside in the vicinity of the complex were urged to take cover.
An email warning was issued shortly after 2:40 p.m. EDT instructing congressional staff to “shelter in place.” Staffers were later informed via loudspeaker that the warning was issued in response to a shooting at the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center.
Initial reports from the Associated Press indicate one Capitol Police officer was shot – with the alleged suspect reportedly in custody. The officer’s wounds were described as “not serious.”
The shooting did not interrupt Congress – which was out of session at the time of the attack. It did, however, interrupt the annual Easter egg hunt at the White House – which was also placed on lockdown in the aftermath of the incident.
We’re glad this attack wasn’t worse … and hope the wounded officer recovers quickly and fully.

I was curious as to why the Capitol Shooter story is all but scrubbed away.

Oh,I get it now. So a liberal Black religious nutter who thinks he is a profit (sic) and burger flippers should be making $15 per hr. is not news worthy? If it was a shoeless white guy living at Myrtle Manor, traffic would be stopped for miles from all the news trucks full of reporters breathlessly filing reports every 5 minutes.
