PRESS CONFERENCE HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH “FAITH AND FAMILY” FORUM

Five pro-life women – including S.C. Rep. Donna Hicks of Spartanburg, S.C. – will hold a press conference this weekend criticizing the pro-life credentials of national/ “First in the South” GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.

The group intends to release an open letter to pro-life voters in the Palmetto State alerting them to Trump’s “past statements regarding Supreme Court Justices, his openness to a pro-abortion vice presidential pick, and his treatment of women.”

No word yet on whether they will use the opportunity to endorse U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida – who prides himself as being a “100 percenter,” or a pro-lifer who opposes abortion even in cases of rape or incest.

The women will hold their event this Friday (February 12) in the Rodeheaver Auditorium lobby at Bob Jones University (yes, that Bob Jones University).

In fact the press conference will be held prior to a “Faith and Family Forum” event – one that has failed to live up to its advance billing in terms of attracting top tier presidential candidates.

That event is being sponsored by the Palmetto Family Alliance and the Conservative Leadership Project, and will be moderated by Palmetto Family CEO Oran Smith and S.C. attorney general Alan Wilson.

as a Christian, i would give a 12 year old rape victim the choice to take the morning after pill rather than force her to have that child.

Mighty nice of you. But would have been best had you not raped her in the first place.

LOL How would you like to wake up in Vegas next her with rice on your head and hair between your teeth? That is exactly what I was talking about in Florida on the beaches and at the nudist parks. Would you call that a tattoo or fine leather tooling?

Damn Taz, no wonder you moved up here!!!! Glad we took in good “refugees” when they were out there. THAT, was truly an unlivable situation.

I have no doubt that funeral directors in Florida are skinning the old yankee ladies that specify cremation. They are shipping the hides to Africa for sandal making material.

So, the “family values” & “social issues” thing only matters when the candidate is anyone other than Trump. Interesting.

Don’t you remember how these so called religious leaders backtracked from Mormonism is an evil cult when Romney ran? Graham wiped their websites of all the negativity about that religion – Falwell also developed amnesia that their school taught that to their students too. Bunch of hypocrites. Now they are endorsing a real shyster. Scruples don’t matter except when it is a Democrat.

Even better, they will still cite abortion as a reason not to support the Democratic nominee running against Trump.

If you think Trump is being targeted now, just wait. The media will make the New York Daily News look like child’s play if he is the party nominee. Not that it doesn’t already.

That’s the good thing about Trump…just point a mic and a camera at him and he shoots himself in the foot. Only racists take that turd seriously? Do you?

He “shoots himself in the foot” and his poll numbers surge!

People are tired of these spineless, mealy-mouthed, twits and their political correctness. Trump tells ot like it is and that’s refreshing.

Call him bigoted if you like, but what he says is true.

Abortion is a tool of the establishment to divide the parties, raise money and use the zealots as blunt objects to destroy those that are not helpful to the establishment.

TroubleBaby February 11, 2016 at 8:27 am

The GOP will forever rail against abortion, yet never do anything about it- lest they lose an issue. 100% lip service.

Reply
Flip February 11, 2016 at 11:35 am

If they get rid of abortion then birth rates will go up and so will welfare spending. Republicans love welfare but not that kind of welfare.

Dead on. One of the most divisive issues in the country. No one is going to solve it. SCOTUS has ruled on it. Congress will have to pass one of the bills that affirms that life starts at conception. Then it will be tested in court. Just like DOMA was overturned by the court. The politicians add language to bills that let lawyers and judges argue over these things forever and accomplish nothing but divide the voters. Trump or any other POTUS isn’t going to change anything. Now. Let’s get on to something that he can change. Like the wall on the border. Helping the vets. Bringing jobs back to the US. Fixing the trade issue with the rest of the world. You know. Really important stuff. Trump 2016. Let’s make America great again.

I wish they would stop all this racket about the social issues. The right uses all this energy on mostly imagined issues and says nothing about the important issues of the day.

Flip February 10, 2016 at 9:25 pm

Their stance on abortion just energizes their own base, not so much with the moderates.

It goes back to what Tazmaniac touched on above. The GOP is a lot of single issue fringes cobbled together to make a political party with one powerful fringe or another constantly trying to keep control of it all.
This is an extreme offshoot of the Christian Libertarian movement.

Donald Trump is for Pro-life personally……but he concedes women have the right to decide what is best for them…..even though it saddens him greatly when they decide to terminate a pregnancy. But ultimately, that decision , is not his to make…..and rests between that young lady and her conscience and/or maker. I , personally , would like it made illegal , period, in favor of that child, but I am not running to be the President of a huge and versatile nation. We all need to fight for the man who is fighting for us, and only us! If we don’t , then we might as well be silent, again, for another 4-8 years and watch our country fall into socialism and Islamic terror…..a state of no return! I’m voting Trump! I think Trump can turn our country around and “Make It Great Again”!

um… then he is not pro-life.

Here we go again with the single issue nutters. I will become a lot more concerned when the Government forces abortion on people who don’t believe in it than allowing people that do to make a safe choice. Like the Donald, I HATE it, don’t want it for the females in my family but I realize it is a personal and private issue.

See if you can find the clip of Mark Halperin’s SC focus group that was on Morning Joe today.
They believe that Trump will win, but mostly support Cruz.
Halperin showed them a clip that contained Trump kicking this ass, fucking that and pussying another thing – of course the words were bleeped for TV; don’t know about for the focus group. The hands flew to those people’s faces. They were appalled at the thought of someone like that representing the USA. They called Trump ‘crass’. They did not have a clue that Trump was going around talking like that. They just listen to Glenn Beck sing Cruz’s praises.
But, that clip – even bleeped out because you know with the way he manipulates his mouth, Trump’s lips could be easily read – is an opposition campaign ad waiting to happen.
