FAIR WEATHER NATURE BOY?

Call it a “double diss …”

On the same day the nation’s No. 1 high school football recruit Rashan Gary chose the University of Michigan over Clemson University – another Palmetto State school got dissed in favor of the Wolverines.

We’re referring to “Nature Boy” Ric Flair – a devotee of the University of South Carolina program during the heyday of former head coach Steve Spurrier.

“Coach Spurrier left the Gamecocks,” Flair told a crowd at Michigan’s signing day celebration. “So I’m right here, and I’m ‘Blue,’ baby. I can’t stand Ohio State. I got no time for Michigan State.”

“To be the man you gotta beat the man,” the 66-year-old wrestling legend added. “Right now, moving forward, Michigan is the man.”

Really?

While these two programs are certainly on divergent trajectories at the moment, let’s not forget what happened the last time Michigan and South Carolina met on the gridiron.

“Wooooooooo!!!!”

So take that, fair weather “Nature Boy.”

It was worth wading through this silly article to see that hit one more time. I wonder if they ever found the helmet, we know who found the ball…

Well the IQ has gone up for the Gamecock fans and down for the Wolverine fans.

How so? Ric Flair is a 16 time Champion and two time Hall of Famer.
He’s way outta USC’s league.
Wooooooooo!!!

It’s obvious you’re not a Gamecock fan and dragging down the fan IQ.

Rick is a great guy.I used to see him at the old Wyndham in MB-Kingston Plantation and drink a few Miller Lights poolside.Nice tipper.Lou Holtz was known to be a tight ass at the Dumes Club CC while Beamet from VT treated the caddies well.

Ric is a great guy, loved his wrestling. Sgt. Slaughter lived 3 doors down from my dad in Charlotte.

At least he got that part right.

Flair was a head ball sack fan not a USC fan. He was the host at homecoming at Fla one year when Spurrier was there.

There’s an error in the headline.
Mr. Flair’s first name is misspelled. It should be “Ric”.

I am an expert in spelling and professional wrestling.

Flair also spends a fair amount of time drinking in Chapel Hill and Raleigh bars and when he’s there he claims UNC or NC State so take his loyalty to the Gamecocks with a grain of salt.

Sitting in the area for a Hornets game one year my friend, who was a regular, challenged me. “Give you 5 seconds to pick out Rick Flair, he’s in the stands”

It took two. At first glace all I saw was a big mop of white hair over a big blob of pink skin. He was on the other side of the court.
