S.C. Rep. Chris Corley continues to soak up the earned media in the aftermath of his controversial 2015 Christmas card – which accused “Republicans” who voted in favor of taking down the Confederate flag of betraying their constituents.
Having already enraged fiscally liberal S.C. Speaker of the House Jay Lucas, Corley’s next indignant reaction came courtesy of Upstate, S.C. “Republican” Doug Brannon – a Michigan native who has emerged as a central figure in some recent articles we’ve written related to judicial corruption.
Brannon apparently took none too kindly to Corley’s missive, and responded with a feisty letter telling him where he could put his Christmas card. Take a look …

We don’t know how much Corley spent on these cards, but he’s getting some ridiculous mileage out of that investment.
The exchange comes as badly divided House “Republicans” are preparing to hold a caucus meeting this week to plot their strategy in advance of the next legislative session – which is scheduled to convene on January 12, 2016. It also comes as Corley presses for passage of a non-binding referendum allowing voters to have a say on the flag.

When did Brannon last live in Michigan? Was he just born in Detroit? It looks like he has been in SC for a good long time. Corley was born in Georgia, maybe he ought to back to Augusta.
As far as I know, Brannon’s family has been living in the Landrum area for years. His family used to run one fine restaurant just inside the SC state line on SC 14 outside of Landrum. For some unknown reason it was called “Brannon’s”….
Lots of golfer’s used to frequent the place (killer breakfasts!!!!). It was hard to get a table on the weekends for breakfast. I used to take my family there when the kids were young.
Love Landrum. Love Hare & Hound. They have a pimento burger that’s to die for. Whenever I’m in the Upstate, I always try to find a reason to go there.
Hare & Hound’s a good place – especially if the weather is nice and you can sit out on the patio. Try the home made chicken salad croissant some time…
Burgers ain’t bad either but the Southside BBQ & Grill’s burger w/fresh cut fries is better and the “Que” is pretty damn good.
Southside is down the road a mile or two on US 176 towards “Campbeller”. It’s on the right, you can’t miss it.

I admittedly don’t know much about Corley, his voting record, or his time as a rep, but I do know that Doug Brannon is a GIANT douche, so this gave me a chuckle.
Brannon is my local representative and I’ve met him. He’s a hard working guy and represents the attitudes of the people of NW Spartanburg county who voted him into office.
Brannon’s head and shoulders over the guy he replaced (Joey Millwood – a dead ringer for the old Shoney’s “Big Boy”)
Millwood is worthless slug whose only callouses is from sitting on his chubby ass and diddling with his smart phone – I saw the worthless POS doing just that during his last session of the Spartanburg County Legislative delegation before Brannon was sworn in. Millwood had absolutely no interest in the people of NW Spartanburg County and only cared about “Queen Namrata” throwing perks towards his lazy ass.
