“REPUBLICAN” BLASTS BARACK OBAMA
Third-tier presidential candidate and New Jersey governor Chris Christie has offered up some pretty incendiary comments in the aftermath of this week’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, California.
According to Christie, the California attack was yet another manifestation of radical Islamic terror – and an indictment of U.S. president Barack Obama‘s failure to contain it.
“I am convinced that was a terrorist attack,” Christie said. “The president continues to wring his hands and say ‘We’ll see’ but those folks dressed in tactical gear with semi-automatic weapons and came there to do something.”
Okay … we’re not going to argue that. We think it’s silly to debate whether one mass murder constitutes “terror” while another doesn’t, but whatever … we’ll give that one to Christie.
“If a center for the developmentally disabled in San Bernardino, California can be the target for a terrorist attack then every place in America is a target for terrorists,” he added.
Okay … that’s also true.
But it was Christie’s next comment that ramped the warmonger rhetoric up to full-throttle.
“We need to get to grips with the idea we are in the midst of the next world war,” Christie said.
Whoa … really?
We knew we were in the midst of a thirty-year war with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) – an enemy of our own making – but we didn’t know things had escalated to world war status.
