HOUSTON, Texas — Presidential candidate Ted Cruz today released the following statement regarding flooding in South Carolina caused in part by Hurricane Joaquin:

“Heidi and my prayers are with the people of South Carolina, many of whom have suffered immense loss,” Cruz said. “We fully recognize the sacrifices that law enforcement and first responders make to protect and save lives in the face of natural disasters, and we commend all who have bravely stepped up to lead rescue and recovery efforts. We are also thankful for Gov. Haley and the many state and local officials who are working around the clock to begin the recovery process.”

Like we give a shit what Mr Cruz says. Assclown is quickly becoming persona non grata in the Senate for all his self-serving, self-aggrandizing theatrics.

Isn’t this the guy who tried to block federal aid for Hurricane Sandy victims? I wonder what position he will take now.

Well the Feds will come to the rescue, and the contracts will be let out, and many wil be ready to start the work to fix washouts and bridges come around December 1, and on December 11, Cruz will shut down the government over pea genetic research grants and keep it closed until January and none of the road work will get funded.

Ted how do you really feel about Obama declaring SC a federal disaster zone? How about FEMA coming in here? The big bad federal government that you want to shut down on a continuing base to advance your destructive politics of defund and defame will now be expected to rebuild an infrastructure that was neglected because of your politics and with the help of your political friends. Instead if debating Sharia laws your political friends could have funded a bill to repair our highways, sewers, bridges and dams. But no you will not stop until you have destroyed every civic fibre in this society and push this country into a new hot civil war.
And just like your father you will be confronted with the ‘sins of your youth’ and like him You will turn into an angry old man who has no capability for reflection or remorse.
Your support sounds hollow and Is disingenuous.

And you need to stop drinking the cool aid of conservatives whose priorities are to destroy governmental structures as much as possible and replace them with the tyranny of barely concealed racism, xenophobia and Christian rule.

Ted, don’t go soft on us!

We don’t need the Federal government spending a bunch of money down there in SC.Better that we receive more tax cuts. That way,we can “invest” and oh yeah,uh, “create jobs.”

Your friends,

The Koch Brothers

If South Carolina had a Democratic governor, we would be hearing how SC was being punished for its sins from the likes of Dominionist Ted.
