“YOU’RE GOING TO SEE GOD IN JUST ABOUT ONE SECOND”

The suspected shooter in this week’s deadly rampage at an Oregon community college has been identified. According to police, 26-year-old Christopher Sean Harper-Mercer – originally of Torrence, California – is responsible for carrying out the attack.

Harper-Mercer, who is of mixed ethnicity, was killed during the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College that left nine dead and nine others wounded.

In postings on the internet, Harper-Mercer described himself as a “man looking for a woman,” someone who was “not religious, but spiritual” and “shy at first.”  He added that he was a “conservative Republican” and a “teetotaler,” looking for “the yin to my yang.”

There’s also this chilling commentary posted by someone believed to be Harper-Mercer on a blog site in the aftermath of the late August live television murders in Virginia …

On an interesting note, I have noticed that so many people like him are all alone and unknown, yet when they spill a little blood, the whole world knows who they are. A man who was known by no one, is now known by everyone. His face splashed across every screen, his name across the lips of every person on the planet, all in the course of one day. Seems the more people you kill, the more you’re in the limelight.

The post added “anyone who knew him could have seen this coming,” and that “people like him have nothing left to live for, and the only thing left to do is lash out at a society that has abandoned them.”

Those who knew Harper-Mercer said he wore the same outfit every day – combat boots, green pants and a white T-shirt – and was obsessed with the Irish Republican Army.  He was a loner who was reportedly suffering from mental health problems – and was described by neighbors as “skittish.”

Military records indicate Harper-Mercer enlisted in the U.S. Army and was in training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. during November and December of 2008.  However he was discharged “for failing to meet the minimum administrative standards to serve in the U.S. Army.”

During the shooting, Harper-Mercer allegedly singled out Christians – asking them to stand up before he shot them.

“Because you’re a Christian, you’re going to see God in just about one second,” he reportedly told them, according to the father of one of those wounded during the attack.

“Then he shot and killed them,” the father said.

In an interesting twist on the case, the local sheriff – John Hanlin – declined to identify or otherwise discuss the gunman.

“I don’t want to glorify the shooter, I don’t want to glorify his name, I don’t want to glorify his cause,” Hanlin said. “I’m refusing to state his name. … You won’t hear his name from me or this investigation.”

So just to be clear, this fucking idiot says in not so many words it appears “to get you in the limelight” when you do something like this (which you even quote him saying it), so you just like every other media outlet in the world are just as fucking stupid to talk about him and actually put him in the limelight. This right here is why no one takes you seriously. You claim to be different yet write a story everyone else writes. Why? For pay for click $’s. pathetic. Fits = Everyone else. You want to write a story about it? Fine. write about the victoms and survivors and only reference this scum as “The piece of shit that shall never be named” when you do. Then you will be different and not hypocritical.

I went back and finally finished the story because honestly you mention him by name more than Moses is talked about in the bible, and I couldn’t at first. The last paragraph is exactly how you should be talking about this. by never naming him. At least you quoted someone with a clue. Sherriff John Hanlin obviously gets it. MSM, and you do not.

did you read where I wrote that? it even goes on to say later “Fits = Everyone else”. If he is going to continue to write stories and talk about how he is different from the “MSM” then he ought to act like it and write like it. Not to is hypocritical and makes him a joke.

This is about crazy people having guns.
Trying to ascribe a ideology to an insane person is pointless.
The point is, to continue to make it easy as can be for crazy people to get and hold onto firearms is madness.

Seriously. Everyone is so desensitized by this shit because it happens almost every 6 months.

It’s reported that he’s a Conservative Republican who targeted Christians. Some libtards might even suggest that Conservatives Republicans hate Christians.

I’ve also seen the same spin from the opposite angle.

let me see if I can understand.
The Liberals passed the Hippa laws, you can not disclose any medical information to anybody, including mental health, unless ok’d by the individual.
Obama’s Justice Dept is responsible for approving, or rejecting the sale of firearms, through back ground checks, drug addiction and mental health is suppose to disqualify an individual from buying a firearm. Yet, they gave weapons to drug cartels, leading to the death of a Border Patrol Agent, and approved the purchases for the shooter in Charleston and Oregon.
The liberals are outraged by legal gun owners, who abide by the law, and upset that mentally ill people get guns; but, it is their administration and HIPPA laws that allow it.
The liberals are upset by the shootings, as they should be, not upset by the crimes committed by the illegals they release out of jail and back on the streets to carry on their crimes.
Liberals are also, OK with the murders of untold numbers of children, by Planned Parenthood, the most innocent and defenseless among us.
Somehow this is illogical, and does not compute?
Now, they will also attempt to make Law abiding Americans defenseless, as they continue to release their illegal criminals and leave our porous borders open to illegal criminals and Jihadist to prey on Americans, our children, families and future generations!
Are liberals just stupid, or so hopped up on drugs that logic and common sense is not in their mental capacity.

They did propose change provisions to HIPAA in 2014. I don’t know if it went thru, the conservatives went nuts claiming it was another gun grab. I’m sick of hearing about PP – abortion is legal. You’re decades late to the table. Where have you been for the last 40 years? Go adopt a Living foster kid if you’re so concerned about the welfare of children. Your group doesn’t seem to give a crap about them once they are born – then you consider them a drag on society if they need help.

He didn’t like blacks.
The gunman who carried out the deadly attack on Umpqua Community College was described Friday as a “hate-filled” individual, with anti-religion and white supremacist leanings who has long struggled with mental health issues, law enforcement sources said

He really is like Lanza.
Meanwhile, new details were emerging about Mercer, who was apparently obsessed with guns, held anti-religion views and liked to discuss military history. Sources said he left behind an angry, hate-filled note.

Through interviews, investigators said they discovered that Mercer struggled with his mental health since he was a teenager and that his condition undermined his ability to succeed in life, a law enforcement source said.

And some people on this website.

The Los Angeles Times reports that authorities have obtained some of Mercer’s writings that show him to be “a hate-filled individual with anti-government and conspiracy tendencies” who “was supportive of the white supremacist agenda and opposed organized religion.” He also expressed sympathy for the Irish Republican Army.

This college must be feeling lucky right now. James Holmes didn’t display any whacked out behavior at the college he attended in CA either. He demonstrated his crazy once he got to Colorado.
Harper-Mercer also attended classes at El Camino College from 2010 to 2012, a spokeswoman said. His major was not available.

He has had issues since birth, so lets give him 14 guns. Yep, that’s the ticket.

Sofia Camarena of Long Beach, California, told The Oregonian/OregonLive that she used to date Harper-Mercer’s father.”I used to change Chris’ diapers when he was a baby,” she said, upset after learning that he was the shooter in Thursday’s massacre and was himself dead. “He was born with problems. He was hard to discipline. If you told him ‘no,’ he would scream like you had just hit him.”
Camarena said that she had heard Harper-Mercer’s mother was having “a hard time” with him and that he attended a special school.

The ATF (Obama’s ATF) said he obtained his guns legally! Vetted by Obama’s Justice Dept. His background checks were approved by, Obama’s Justice Dapartment.
Another of TOTAL failures by the Obama Administration.
The Obama administration will search for the guilty and then punish the honest, legal, law abiding gun owners.

If he isn’t a felon and hasn’t been committed or reported to NCIS as mentally unstable he can buy a gun. He wasn’t a felon and hadn’t been committed – in fact other than attending a special needs school when he was a teen I don’t think there was ever any intervention for him. I would like to know exactly why the army discharged him and if they had concerns about his stability.
I hope no one in your family is never gunned down by a kook with a gun. Always lots of big talk after one of these shootings about gun grabbers, but I’d imagine everyone of them would be singing a different tune if their children, mother, father, wife, husband had been a victim.

Another case of a “gun free zone” turned into a killing field. The cities with the strongest gun laws are where the most murders occur. Dose anyone see a pattern here ? When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. How long dose it take to fix stupid ?

“Religion has caused more misery to all of mankind in every stage of human history than any other single idea.”
?Madalyn Murray O’Hair
—————————————–
That has been the dominant view of most intellectuals for the past sixty years at least. They never give religion credit for being the primary sponsor for science, medicine, education, charity and political development throughout human history. They never concider the relative violence of atheist societies given their very short history or their very limited contributions to social or physical sciences, or any other humanistic endeavor.

There exist an animosity toward religion that is nearly as destructive as racism. The Soviet Gulag, the Cultural Revolution, and Killing Fields of Cambodia. The Chapel Hill killing of three Muslims was committed by a hate motivated atheist.

If one delves deeply into the Islamic State, you find that many of its members are not religious at all. The foreign recruits often have little or no religious knowledge. Often their connection to Islam is cultural as opposed to religious. Like the Oslo bomber and killer of 75 people who sought to “preserve culturally Christian Europe”, but denied any personal religious feelings. Many atrocities blamed on religion are really the result of cultural and ethnic hatred and only loosely connected to religion. Don’t interpret this as an exoneration of religion. Let’s not forget Rwanda.

By now every reaction to such events is preprogrammed and their is a feeling of inevitability for further decay ….another Empire goes down the drain- the cards are being reshuffled.
