According to a new Public Policy Polling survey, a plurality of Florida voters want former governor Jeb Bush and sitting U.S. Senator Marco Rubio to drop out of the 2016 presidential race. Forty-eight percent of Sunshine State voters want Rubio to pull the plug on his bid, compared to 42 percent who want him to stay in. Meanwhile, 47 percent of Floridians want Bush to drop out compared to 40 percent who want him to continue his campaign.
Now, we’re not saying those numbers are necessarily fatal to the White House aspirations of either candidate … but they aren’t good.
And they are clearly impacting the position of both candidates in the Florida GOP primary …
Among “Republican” primary voters (Florida holds its election on March 15), Bush and Rubio are currently polling at 13 percent and 10 percent, respectively. That’s well behind frontrunner Donald Trump (28 percent) and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson (17 percent), whose campaign is also benefiting from America’s surging anti-establishmentarianism.

It will be a time we all need to watch closely Washington’s actions. This will be the case not just for issues like Planned Parenthood or the Iran Nuclear Deal, but also with the bread and butter issues of government spending. By the time December rolls around, I believe there will be major efforts afoot to lift the spending caps — and this alone would add $1.2 trillion to the deficit over the next ten years.
In each of these fights over the fall, I will be pushing for Washington to live within its means and for a constitutionally-limited government.

Many Republicans and some Democrats are tired of “business as usual” by the same ole crew in Washington. The irreverent attitude taken by many in the Republican Party has led to the rise of Donald Trump. He has not said much up to this point other than to emphasize the gross inadequacies of the current crew of Republicans in Washington and most of the Republican candidates running for President.
Trump does not have to get in front of a crowd and go into great detail about what he will do if elected. All he has to do is emphasize he will not be “business as usual” in his own egotistically fed diatribes that lets people know he is not you usual politician and he will get things done.
Trump’s anti-establishment attitude is the reason Rubio and Bush can’t catch on in their home state, Walker can’t get a foothold in neighboring Iowa, and every other Republican candidate is losing ground except Trump, Carson and Fiorina. They are not professional politicians and therefore not members of the status quo.
Will the Republican electorate’s fascination with the anti-politician candidates remain strong from now to convention time? Who knows, and right now, a lot of people care. And they care enough to show their support for the anti-Candidate candidate.
It is the GOP’s own fault. They made campaign promises and played along with the fringe side of the rightwing. So their voters went to polls and gave them the house and senate. The GOP knew those campaign promises would never be achieved while a Dem was President and some of it would never happen anyway. Obamacare is still here, Benghazi and the IRS scandal are going nowhere, illegals are still here, same sex marriage is lawful and Planned Parenthood will probably receive it’s funding.

The issues you listed were of interest to most of the the Americans in the 2014 midterm election, not just to the ‘fringe’ component of the Republican party. You don’t win elections like the one in 2014 by relying on ‘fringe’ elements.
And you are right, with Obama in charge of the Justice Department, and so no investigations were instituted on these issues. That does not mean that they were not valid issues, they still are issues that were unattended during Obama’s reign. They are 2014 election proved that they were.
