“STRAIGHT OUTTA’ BENTONVILLE”

|| By FITSNEWS || Earlier today we ran an item on Walmart – the world’s largest retailer.  Our post (which referenced previous reporting from Bloomberg and Zero Hedge) focused on the unintended consequences of wage increases – namely the company’s decision to cut back on employee hours after raising wages for its lowest-paid employees.

The article was intended to reinforce our editorial view that government-mandated minimum wage hikes are pointless (in addition to being wrong).

Apparently our post caught the eye of the Walmart public relations office – namely its senior director of corporate communications Kory Lundberg, who reached out to us in an effort to “make sure you have Walmart’s comments on this story.”

Those comments?

This year, associates are getting more hours, better pay, and more predictable schedules than last year.  We’re pleased with the progress we are seeing and its impact on improving traffic and comp sales, as we reported during second quarter earnings.  Managing hours is a routine part of running a sustainable operation, and in select number of stores, it requires keeping those hours to what was originally budgeted.

… and there you have it.

“Straight outta’ Bentonville,” people.

Anyway, Lundberg told us he’d be johnny-on-the-spot with any other media inquiries we might have in the future … an offer we’re more than happy to take him up on.

Ah, more hours, higher wages. A totally communist plot if you ask me.

As I always said, treating your employees like human beings is the first step to Communism.

Yep, that good ole Humanist Marx. Here’s some of my favorite humanist quotes from him:

“Let us consider the actual, worldly Jew — not the Sabbath Jew, as Bauer does, but the everyday Jew. … What is the worldly religion of the Jew? Huckstering.”

“The workers… must try as much as ever possible to counteract all bourgeois attempts at appeasement, and compel the democrats to carry out their present terrorist phrases.”

“The obtrusiveness of the fellow is also nigger-like.”

Yep, Marx said it all…there’s a lot more I didn’t post.

At the end of the day he lived off a spoiled rich kid and was not even self supporting. He was the consummate unproductive leech bitching about the productive while living on the good graces of a kid who inherited his wealth.

lol…Marx was the “king of hypocrites”.

And the master speaks…..
Walmart is cutting their store hours across the country.
They’re your biggest private employer in SC.
No wonder SC is like one giant outdoor Walmart.
Full of cheap, under educated workers.

but Mizz Nikki is in absolute love with WM! I bet she even has a big balance in her gift card account. Remember when she had that press conference knocking Amazon and saying that WM promised 4000 new (minimum wage) jobs? I wonder how that’s working out for her….
