|| By FITSNEWS || Ohio governor John Kasich is making his fifth visit to early-voting South Carolina today.

According to a release from the New Day political action committee supporting his bid, the fiscally liberal “Republican” will attend a Beaufort County GOP meet and greet at Aunt Chiladas Restaurant (69 Pope Avenue) on Hilton Head Island, S.C. from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. EDT.  After that, Kasich will participate in another meet and greet at the Lake House Ballroom (127 Sun City Lane) at Sun City near Bluffton, S.C. from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. EDT.

As this website has made clear, we believe Kasich’s best days are behind him.  In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was a genuine pro-freedom, pro-free market champion … but in recent years he’s become just another status quo “Republican” hack.

Like Mark Sanford, Kasich has become the very sort of politician he once derided – going along to get along regardless of the harm done to citizens and taxpayers.

That’s too bad … he “coulda been a contender.”

Maybe he is down here to tell Haley she is an idiot for not accepting the Medicaid expansion? We can only hope.

John did it as he has a heart for substance abusers and those in need. It is a financial debacle for the state and he just raised taxes 35 cents a pack on cigs to help pay for this.

Nobody can find doctors either. They are not accepting these new patients or the insurance.

Haley would be wise NOT to expand Medicaid.
