Hillary Clinton “Rope-A-Dopes” The National Media

AND THEY LOVE HER FOR IT …

|| By FITSNEWS ||  At this point it’s hard to dispute the fact that former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has put the best interests of American citizens and taxpayers second to the interests of her family’s foundation.

Brazenly so, even …

Rather than rip her to shreds for her bad behavior, though, America’s mainstream media has barely even addressed Clinton’s foundational scandals.  What might have destroyed another politician has barely amounted to a speed bump on Clinton’s red carpet ride to the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.

The irony?

The press has given Clinton a hall pass despite the fact she hasn’t coddled them.  If anything she’s ignored them.  Treating them the same way she treats, um, “everyday Americans.”

Worse, even …

At a Fourth of July parade in Gorham, New Hampshire this weekend, Clinton’s staff went so far as to use a rope line to ensure members of the media kept their distance from the candidate.

Take a look …

(Click to play)

(Vid: Via)

Wow …

“Hillary Clinton continues to demonstrate her obvious contempt and disdain for the Granite State’s style of grassroots campaigning,” New Hampshire GOP official Jennifer Horn said in a statement. “The use of a rope line at a New Hampshire parade is a sad joke and insults the traditions of our first-in-the-nation primary.”

Clinton’s response?

“While the GOP might want to spin a good yarn on this, let’s not get tied up in knots,” Clinton’s campaign told CNN.  “We wanted to accommodate the press, allow (Clinton to) greet voters and allow the press to be right there in the parade with her, as opposed to preset locations.”

Maybe so, but the visual of reporters being herded along a small town street like cats ahead of Clinton’s posse of bodyguards was a disturbing metaphor for her candidacy up to this point.

Will such demeaning treatment cause the media establishment to rethink its warm, unconditional, sustained embrace of Clinton’s status quo candidacy?

Don’t be silly …

Your party has lost the house and the senate. Your president is polling below 50%. The only candidate for president that your party has had step forward is a retread of the 90’s that couldn’t win the nomination in 2008. She has more skeletons than Arlington. She hides behind I can’t remember, fake medical issues, and lost emails. She has offered no innovative ideas for the future. She is running out of a sense of entitlement and will implode before the primaries are over.

You have no basis to call me a racist. I am far from that. Just because I was born in the south and believe in a simpler life and personal responsibility does not make me a racist. You wish to brand people when it was your party that endorsed slavery. It was your party that created the racist Jim Crow laws. It was your party that created the KKK. It was your party that hoisted the Confederate Flag in the 60’s. The history of your party is nothing but racism and divisiveness and now you want to point fingers and blame it on someone else. Your party is a bunch of hypocritical racists. People like Senator Byrd that claimed to support minorities until he climbed under his hood and showed his true colors.

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 10:28 am

The truth is, the Democrats did own it at one time – however, the party lines started shifting. Yesterdays Democrats are today’s Republicans and vice versa. When did it occur? Somewhere around Lincoln/FDR, prohibition, but the parties did shift.

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 10:47 am

That is a convenient claim. Maybe there was a shift where the Democratic party became less racist but can you show me where the Republican Party has pushed a racist agenda on par with those of the Democratic party?

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 10:53 am

I can’t show you that. I can validate the party shift. There are multiple sources. I grabbed one from wiki, but if you don’t like that source, you can Google.

“Following the United States Civil War, the Republican Party faced several massive party switches. As Reconstruction ended, many Southern Republicans became Democrats. In 1872, Republicans dissatisfied with President Ulysses S. Grant formed the Liberal Republican Party and had a joint presidential campaign with the Democrats. Most Liberal Republicans soon returned to the main Republican Party, however. A similar situation occurred in 1884 when the mugwumps left the Republican Party and supported the Democratic presidential candidate, later rejoining the Republican party.”

flip July 6, 2015 at 11:03 am

It does not
make sense to believe that racist Democrats suddenly rushed into the Republican
Party, especially after Republicans spent nearly 150 years fighting for black
civil rights. In fact, the racist Democrats declared they would rather vote for
a “yellow dog” than a Republican because the Republican Party was known as the
party for blacks.

From the time of its inception in 1854 as the
anti-slavery party, the Republican Party has always been the party of freedom
and equality for blacks. As author Michael Scheuer wrote, the Democratic Party
is the party of the four S’s: slavery, secession, segregation and now
socialism. Democrats have been running black communities for the past 50+
years, and the socialist policies of the Democrats have turned those communities
into economic and social wastelands.
Democrats first used brutality and discriminatory laws to stop blacks from
voting for Republicans. Democrats now use deception and government handouts to
keep blacks from voting for Republicans. In his book, “Dreams From My Father,”
Obama described what he and other Democrats do to poor blacks as “plantation
politics.”

The racist Democrats of the 1950’s and 1960’s that Republicans
were fighting died Democrats. One racist Democrat who survived until 2010 was
US Senator Robert Byrd, a former recruiter for the Ku Klux Klan. Notably, the
Ku Klux Klan was started by Democrats in 1866 and became the terrorist arm of
the Democratic Party for the purpose of terrorizing and lynching
Republicans—black and white. Byrd became a prominent leader in the
Democrat-controlled Congress where he was honored by his fellow Democrats as the
“conscience of the Senate.”

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 2:13 pm

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 2:26 pm

Show me one thing I said that is a falsehood. Just one. I’ll retract it, if you can prove otherwise.

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 2:52 pm

You state that today’s Democrats are yesterday’s Republicans and vice versa. There is nothing to show that today’s Republicans are racist. Especially to the extent of yesterday’s Democrats. There is nothing to support the rhetoric that Republicans are racist. That is nothing but a Democratic talking point, a myth that has been stated so many times that people accept it without asking for facts to support it.

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 3:19 pm

I did not state today’s Republican’s are racist, but there is no disputing today’s Democrats are yesterdays Republicans. I am not supporting that Republicans are racist, nothing in my comments say that – they simply say, you can’t tag Democrats as the racist party. The party is people – racism knows no bounds. Ring a bell?

You have a game. I am simple person looking at all sides of the coin. I can tell you — you aint winning no Democrats over with your racist statements. I am truly sick of trying to prevent the Republican from imploding. That is a train wreck that no one individual can stop — certainly not in the deep south.

Just to make sure I have my facts straight — SC was the only southern state I can find that was a federalist state, until it wasn’t. They were also a Democrat state until they weren’t. They were Tea Party until we elected Gov. Haley and voted in some moderates. At the time, much to my dismay. Today – I think SC needs more Democrats to bring the balance of power back to the middle.

Yes, I say they — I didn’t live here during those times. I do not take responsibility for any ancestor or tree that might exist. I can respect their contributions, and love them, but I am not required to agree.

It is also noteworthy, that I have typically favored a referendum, a ballot measure. It upset that others didn’t. Truth is — Republicans do NOT favor any type of measure they disagree with and it will never go out to the public without some biased rhetoric/tagline to highlight the least likely possibility in a bill.

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 3:22 pm

Support your facts and I will listen. When you toss out a timeline that does not take into consideration behavior but paints one party as a saint and the rest as racist — even if I am fighting on your side, I won’t agree. A lie is a lie, not matter how you spin it, how many ways, how many times. The end result is the same.

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 3:35 pm

The facts have been posted. There is no doubt that yesterday’s Democrats were racist. There is no doubt that they did horrible things, passed horrible laws, and created the KKK.
There is no doubt that the Republicans supported equal rights and objected to these Democratic Party objectives.
When you say that todays Democrats are yesterday’s Republicans and vice versa then you are claiming that today’s democrats aren’t racist while admitting that yesterday’s Democrats were racist.
The vice versa is your claim that today’s Republicans became the racists that the Democrats were and that yesterday’s Republican’s were not racist.
Just because Democrat’s realized that slavery, Jim Crowe laws, the KKK, and blatant racism wouldn’t keep them in office doesn’t mean that the Republican party adopted those principles.
JFK was not initially for the civil rights movements of the 60’s and refused to meet with MLK about civil rights until the riots became such that he was forced to do so. Once JFK was forced to endorse the civil rights issue the democrats jumped on board to save their party.
If you want to accuse Republicans of racism then show me where they supported racist legislation.

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 3:42 pm

I really wanted to avoid this breakdown in literal terms, but you have forced me into a corner. Republicans own racism. That is one of the many reasons I am on the cusp of Republican gone Democrat.

I haven’t jumped yet, but I do know you are spinning. What you are spinning is not consistent with history as a whole. You know — I know it. The proof is out there. I can source it all day. You can too. The difference is — I think we are on the same side, but you refuse to acknowledge it. You are spinning. You are paid to spin. I am just a lowly nobody who sees the spin.

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 4:06 pm

I am not spinning. I am stating fact. I have posted articles to support those facts. You have stated innuendo. What is your basis for saying that Republican’s own racism?

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 4:20 pm

I have also stated facts. The Republican party today is not that of yesterday, there has been a historical shift. You posted as much in agreement with your Thurmond statement. He was racist as hell. Yes, he had a child half ‘n half – that was never even discovered until he died!

Maybe he did change his mind? Maybe all the Democrats did? Maybe they all shifted parties? We do not know for certain and that is a fact. You can claim that Democrats are racists, but look at today’s Democratic party – it has shifted. Where is your BIG TENT? Maybe that is why Hillary doesn’t need a Big Tent campaign?

If you are a political strategist, go back and tell your folk that even the whites are sick of divisive politics. We are sick of the race card. As you can see, I am white — I am sick of the right playing that card. We are all American’s. Until some dipshit, somewhere, comes out of the shadows, with a billion dollars to throw into a campaign — we keep spreading the hate. Maybe Trump will? Unlikely given his statements. Maybe Fiona will, again, unlikely given comments. So who? Another Bush or maybe a Christie.

If you are a GOP operative. I suggest you find some better candidates before your core following actually figures out that you are not the party of love but divisive politics at any cost. I am sure DNC has similar.

Republicans expect better from their party. Gov. Haley has been a breath of fresh air — the rest, in large part, smell of rotten fish.

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 4:38 pm

Thurmond was a racist as a democrat and a dixiecrat. As a Republican his voting record was often is support of civil rights. He was praised by many people to include Kay Patterson. He changed with the times. He changed after he left the Democratic Party. Senator Byrd never changed and never left the Democratic Party. You cannot show where the Republican Party has supported racism.

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 11:05 am

http://historynewsnetwork.org/article/3554
This is a pretty concise history of both parties when it comes to racism and civil rights. Can you refute the accuracy of any of the points made in regards to the voting records and racist acts of each party?

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 11:23 am

As for the voting records and parties – no. I won’t even attempt to. It is the shift that makes the debate that Democrats were the racist party inaccurate. Democrat, Republican and all parties, are a label, a brand. Like any brand, must change with the times and rebrand. Even Thurmond switched parties.

Below is an interesting article on the topic. Timelines are similar, it just discusses more in depth the changes that were happening within the parties at the time. I realize this is a bit left leaning, but I like the fact it addresses the south.

http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/197976/explainer-how-democrats-and-republicans-switched-sides-on-civil-rights/

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 11:40 am

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/937501/posts
Thurmond was a staunch supporter of segregationist views as a Democrat, even while running for President as a liberal Democrat in the 40’s. His views changed after he became a Republican and his voting record shows it.
Thurmond went from being a racist Democrat to a non-racist Republican.
If Kennedy hadn’t been forced to support the Civil Rights Legislation that he opposed then the democrats would have no basis to claim support for racial equality.

Sybil July 6, 2015 at 12:00 pm

There are racists in all parties. Why? Because all parties consist of people. Parties aren’t racist — people are. Even saying that Thurmond was a racist Democrat and then changed to a non-racist Republican, demonstrates the party shift of the 60’s.

“Running for President as a Dixiecrat in 1948, Strom Thurmond declared that “all the laws of Washington and all the bayonets of the Army cannot force the Negro into our homes, our schools, our churches and our places of recreation.” By 1964, with civil rights marching onward, it was clear that his fellow Democrats disagreed. Thurmond jumped ship, joining the Republican Party that year. The first major Southern pol to cross the aisle during the civil rights era, the South Carolina Senator marked the beginning of the GOP’s appeal to white, Southern conservatives, and helped turn a former blue state red.”

Speak D Truth July 6, 2015 at 1:37 pm

Again, Thurmond changed partied and began to change his racist views. There is no proof that the Republican party has ever supported a racist platform. Democrats on the other hand………

Only one switched parties – Strom Thurman AFTER the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 1965 Voting Rights Act were passed. Ask yourself why would Strom Thurmond move to a party that pushed for civil and votings rights if he was so much of a hard line racist? Can you tell me why then do the Democratic/Liberal voters/historians never point to this. For convenience, they look over this with dark blinders on and it’s nauseating.

Killiary’s most recognized qualification for office was the recent appointment as Secretary as State, because of two factors(not qualifications):

1. She had enough Democratic base draw to be dangerous to Obama for a 2nd term fight.
2. She willingly married/opened her legs to a borderline sexual sociopath that was hugely charismatic, and ran the country during a time at which the economy was heady/clicking along at a good pace.
