DONALD TRUMP AND BARACK OBAMA HELD TO TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT STANDARDS
|| By FITSNEWS || Billionaire real estate mogul and 2016 “Republican” presidential candidate Donald Trump has been milking the furor over his controversial statements regarding Mexican immigrants … burnishing his credentials as a leading opponent of illegal immigration and crony capitalist trade deals.
Now he’s got a new angle to exploit: The double standard employed by the nation’s “politically correct” police in manufacturing outrage.
In his 2016 presidential announcement last month, Trump caused a furor when he said that Mexico wasn’t sending its “best” people to America.
“They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people,” Trump said.
Ouch …
Predictably, mass revulsion ensued … including a decision by New York-based Univision (the world’s largest Spanish language network) to ban the Miss USA and Miss Universe beauty pageants co-owned by Trump. Additionally a Univision executive – Alberto Ciurana – responded by likening Trump to 21-year-old white supremacist Dylann Storm Roof, the confessed perpetrator of last month’s “Holy City Massacre” in which nine black South Carolinians were murdered in their place of worship.
NBC Universal also severed its ties to Trump’s organization.
It was the classic P.C. blackball …
Fast forward to this week, when U.S. president Barack Obama attended a town hall event in Nashville, Tennessee.
“We should not be encouraging illegal immigration,” Obama said.
Wait … what?
All this president has done is encourage illegal immigration.
“What we should be doing is setting up a smart legal immigration system that doesn’t separate families but does focus on making sure that people who are dangerous, people who are, you know, gang-bangers, who are criminals that we’re deporting as quickly as possible,” Obama continued.
Hold up … gang-bangers? Criminals?
Obama basically said the same thing Trump did – albeit with a mild filter (something Trump clearly doesn’t have).
Of course depending on how you define “gang-banger,” Obama’s statement could be interpreted by some as being worse than what Trump said.
Yet while Trump is pilloried, there’s zero outrage against Obama.
What gives?
Selective application of the politically correctness, that’s what.
In case you’ve forgotten, we live in a world where what we are allowed to say depends on who we are … not the unavoidable, unpleasant realities of our shared experience.
That’s a shame.

Well duh, Political Correctness by it’s very nature is selective.
Silencing those who dissent from the politically correct and aren’t willing to “go along to get along” pervades the culture in ways that go well beyond politics. Christians are bullied and forced off college campuses in the name of “tolerance” when Christian religious organizations limit membership to those who share their religious beliefs. Conservative commencement speakers are cancelled because students, often with encouragement by their professors, won’t listen to contrary views.
Political Correctness on the left has evolved into destroying Christianity and the church.That is really the agenda of the gay marriage advocates.
Someone pointed me to a link here the other day showing TV Land has cancelled the “Dukes of Hazard”. John Schneider has some good commentary surrounding that stupidity, but the short of it is that in our new pussified, PC society, no one is allowed to dare utter anything that may offend someone.
On one hand, I can see the argument that government should not be offending any tax paying citizen on any terms, like the Confederate flag for example, because it’s supposedly supposed to represent the “will of the people.”
Fine, I’m ok with that…but now this issue has grown way beyond a flag on “publicly owned” property.
Now this PC madness is spreading into private life. Don’t get me wrong, if TV Land really thinks that a goofy show featuring Southern boys driving around in a Dodge Charger with a rebel flag painted on top has affected their bottom line, they have every right to cancel the show.(and for the record, I LOVED the Dukes of Hazzard as a kid)
I actually joked about this thinking such a thing would never happen almost two weeks ago in the comment section, bitching about all the flag stories and made up a scenario where a “Big Foot” monster truck drove over the General Lee.
I made that story up, because it was so stupid/ludicrous at the time I never dreamed it would actually happen.
That is my fault, I continually underestimate the stupidity of society in general. I’m like Charlie Brown.

Montana, like all 50 states, outlaws bigamy — holding multiple marriage licenses — but Collier said he plans to sue if the application is denied.
