|| By FITSNEWS || Stung by a scandal over her inappropriate (and potentially illegal) use/ abuse of a since-deleted private email address for government business, Hillary Rodham Clinton will seek to change the narrative when she announces her 2016 presidential campaign on Sunday.
The presumptive Democratic nominee – who has become virtually indistinguishable from “Republican” crony capitalists and warmongers in recent years – will make her candidacy official on Sunday when she releases a video message to her supporters via social media.
After her announcement, Clinton will travel to early-voting Iowa and New Hampshire … but not the Palmetto State.
Nonetheless, Clinton has been lining up support in early voting states – including South Carolina – for years. In fact two years ago (to the day), FITS reported on her efforts.
More recently, we’ve been reporting on efforts by would-be “anti-Hillary” Dems.
The 67-year-old former First Lady/ U.S. Senator/ Secretary of State was the presumed frontrunner for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, too. However her campaign – which led all Democratic comers by double-digit margins well into the fall of 2007 – finished behind Barack Obama and former U.S. Senator John Edwards in the 2008 Iowa Caucus.
Clinton came back and narrowly defeated Obama in the New Hampshire Democratic primary – but was steamrolled by Obama in South Carolina.
“It’s about the past versus the future,” Obama said after his South Carolina victory, which was the last time he set foot on Palmetto State soil (until last month’s visit).
Sound familiar?
That’s the same argument being made this go-round … by “Republicans.”

Bush legacy against Clinton legacy. In all honesty it’s an election between Bill Clinton and George W Bush. And the early polls have Hillary up 6-9%. Tightened a bit in CO and Iowa, but remains not close in VA and PA. Floirda is tied. As we get to the starting blocks, let’s remember, this is what Bush needs to carry to win. FL, VA, OH, CO, NM. He has to flip those states. Miss just one, it’s game over. All the other states are set in stone. And FL, VA, CO and NM have heavy Latino populations and all went for Obama in 2012.
