President Obama just announced an unconstitutional executive action granting amnesty to millions.
The Constitution does not grant the President the power to act as a one-man legislature when he disagrees with Congress and with voters — but that didn’t stop President Obama.
The last time the President issued an executive order to change our immigration laws, he created a crisis at our border, leaving thousands of children at risk and ripping apart the families he claims to be protecting today.
President Obama’s action does not secure our borders, and his action violates our country’s balance of power.
The American people rejected the administration’s policies during the midterms; and now President Obama is resorting to breaking the Constitution for his own political gain.

So are you implying that what he has done is granted a reprieve or pardon?

Excellent article on your site. I will say however that in order to impeach a President that you must prove that he acted unconstitutionally and crimes can be identified. You must also have the ‘public will’.
He has violated the Constitution. Once the public understands what he has just done, congress will have to impeach him. For the next several months they just chip away at Obamacare and this immigration EO-lawsuits, denying funding etc…
Once the influx of illegals begins again next summer they will impeach him.

He can’t allow them to LEGALY work. He broke the law and this will also move public opinion to support impeachment with 40% of all adults not working and 7 million working part-time.
This will take a few weeks to settle in however the house and senate will have no choice but to impeach him-or they will all be voted out.

While I agree with you in general, there are a substantial number of criminals who enter illegally. There are also a substantial number of illegal immigrants who come only to obtain benefits (often through fraud). Quite a few border towns with nothing more than hundreds of mailboxes for Mexican nationals to have their checks mailed to. Only problem is, the FedGov refuses to do anything about it or even acknowledge the problem.
Guess what? There are millions of criminals born right here in the USA.
I think the President has the authority to instruct his agencies to not take action against those here illegally. He does not have the authority to unilaterally change the legal status of those here illegally. This strikes me as a cruel and hollow sop. The Republicans need to get their sh*t together, craft a bill that realistically deals with the undeniable fact that we cannot and will not deport millions of people already here, and put this issue to bed. This is now squarely in Boehner’s court.

I watched and listened to Obama’s remarks last night. They seemed perfectly reasonable to me. Unfortunately, rather than working with the president to get something done, the GOP is paralyzed by its rightist wingnut elements, so nothing will happen. If they believe all of their own inflammatory rhetoric, they should sue and have the Supreme Court rule on executive powers. They’ll find the president is in the right. I doubt they’ll sue, because they really don’t want a resolution to the issue. They want to use it to pander to their credulous voter base in the run up to 2016.
