By FITSNEWS || Liberal U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham‘s joke about running a presidential campaign to benefit “white men who are in male-only clubs” didn’t go over well with one of his 2014 opponents.
S.C. Senator Brad Hutto – the Democratic Party’s nominee for the seat Graham has held since 2003 – didn’t find the comments funny.
“When behind the closed doors of a private club, Lindsey Graham let his true colors show,” Hutto said. “He is only interested in his own ambitions and the best interests of the wealthy donors he hopes will fund his possible presidential campaign. Women, people of color, and middle class and working families have no part in Lindsey Graham’s plans.”
Hutto said Graham “voted against re-authorizing the Violence Against Women Act, against equal pay for women, against raising the minimum wage and against the level of support our veterans have earned and deserve.”
He also blasted Graham for supporting “tax breaks for the most wealthy Americans and corporations while trying to privatize Social Security and Medicare.”
“We already knew where Lindsey Graham stood,” Hutto added. “Now, he’s just confirmed it.”

Hutto just picked up about.0002% more votes. This was obviously an attempt at humor, lame as it was. Maybe dumber than Gilligan’s gaffe because it was an obviously planned bit.
It’s so stupid, it makes me wonder for the first time if Lindsey takes one too many nips every now and then. It sure would explain a lot of these hissy fits.
