Ann Romney Wants Nikki Haley To Run For President

“I LOVE NIKKI HALEY”

By FITSNews  ||  For reasons surpassing understanding there are those who continue to believe Mitt Romney is a credible presidential candidate.

No really … these people subscribe to the rudimentary logic that because Barack Obama has been such a colossal failure in office, Romney is somehow vindicated (and Romney is fueling the fire with his own comments as well as artfully worded denials of his interest that don’t expressly rule out a 2016 bid).

Anyway … we’ve said plenty about Mitt.

This post is about Ann Romney, who weighed in recently on the 2016 presidential race during an interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto.

According to Mrs. Romney, her husband would consider running in 2016 if former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush – another favorite of the “Republican” establishment – declined to run.

“I think Jeb probably will end up running myself,” Ann Romney told Cavuto.  “he’s probably looking at it very carefully right now.”

Romney also said she hoped more women would participate in presidential politics – specifically encouraging S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley and New Mexico Gov. Susanna Martinez to run.

“I wish I could see some women out there,” Romney said. “I love Nikki Haley … I’d love to see more women participate.”

Haley, of course, endorsed Mitt Romney in the 2012 “First in the South” presidential primary – only to see him finish a distant second to former U.S. Speaker Newt Gingrich in the Palmetto State.

If Haley were to take Ann Romney up on her advice, it would turn the traditional Republican presidential calculus on its head – not just because Haley is a female (and a minority), but because she’s governor of a state that wields disproportionate influence on the GOP nominating process.

Could Haley survive the national vetting associated with a credible candidacy for president? It’s unclear …

Her national star has been on the wane a bit in recent months due to a host of scandals in the Palmetto State, although she’s expected to cruise to reelection in November regardless.

If Ann is dumb for suggesting Haley run for higher office what is voting for Haley in November going to say about you? Don’t give me she the best of a bunch of losers argument, no way any of the others could be as bad as her.

Sorry – best of the worst is the answer. The race is between Haley and Sheheen – all the rest are a distraction at best.

Here are your options:

Nikki Haley (R)* – a mediocre gubernor of known foibles

Vincent Sheheen (D) – State Sen., Ex-State Rep., Attorney polling 10 points behind Haley at this point – a big tax and spend guy, part of the problem, not part of the solution

Steve French (Libertarian) – Fryer Oil Recycling Business Owner no money ($15,000 in contributions, $1,200 spent), no chance

Morgan Reeves (United Citizens) – Land Clearing Contractor, Pastor, Ex-Pro Football Player & ’10 Nominee – no money (literally), no chance. Were you even aware he was running?

Tom Ervin (Independent) – Ex-Circuit Judge, Attorney, Radio Station Owner & ’05 State Rep. Candidate he’s brought in less than $70,000 and spent a million and a half to garner less than 10% of the vote – no chance

Rhys Sage (Write-In) – Photographer no money, no chance. Were you even aware he was running? http://paper.li/GovSage/1408114621

It boils down to two choices:

1. Cast a vote and make excuses

or

2. Crawl under a rock and die.

actually, I mean Mitt Romney.

We saw how that turned out…

Spider Hole September 24, 2014 at 4:43 pm

So are you saying that the “good people” will come pull us out of our hole, force us to vote, then hang us?

euwe max September 24, 2014 at 5:34 pm

hang us?
——
I thought the plan beyond the purple fingers was to have us rounded up every night and killed by drilling holes in our head, and leaving us in the dumpster for morning pick-up… then, when all of the infrastructure and government is totally corrupt, and dysfunctional, leave us defended by trained cowards.

Then, after destabilizing our neighbors, and arming them so that they stream across the border to kill what’s left of us, we are granted the same tactics to save us that failed in Viet Nam – war from the air.

After the destruction caused by bombing non-state actors in all of our major cities, we should be softened up well enough for the puppets sent to “rebuild.”

That way, we can fulfill the PNAC’s original prescription – creative destruction, paving the way for the westernization democratization of the Middle East.

it’s all right here in the plan.

Republican Follies September 24, 2014 at 5:39 pm

Why did you go through all this?

You are voting for NIKKI Haley for a very simple reason.

She is the Republican candidate and you are a Republican.

Man up man and cut the BS!

Reply
The Colonel September 24, 2014 at 8:13 pm

Obviously from the intelligent responses, “she’s a republican” is as good a reason to vote for her as “he’s not Haley” is a good reason to vote for Gilligan. Voting for any of the rest is simply an exercise in futility.

I put up factual information and got the usual stupidity in response. So tell me, who should we vote for and why?

Republican Follies September 24, 2014 at 10:27 pm

Yeh yeh yeh

Same old Republican BS.

Why do you go through all this crap?

Find you a “conservative?” What the Hell does that mean? All ever see is all you Republicans dngaging in increasingly esoteric arguments over ones”degree of conservatism.”it’s much ado over nothing.

Bottom line is you are a Republican and are voting for the Republican.

Shats amusing is that you apoarentky think I am being critical.Im not really.Just noting how you are jerking around trying to “rationalize “your vote,

Be a damn PROUD REPUBLICAN man and cut the BS!

THANK GOD FOR NIKKI HALEY,

Mercy!

And again, so much bovine excreta and no real reason to vote for anyone.

Scooter September 24, 2014 at 9:05 pm

It would be extremely hard to vote for anyone who has Dem. behind his name. Hell, I just can’t do it. I did it one time but I asked for forgiveness. Still have an occasional nightmare about it.

steve September 25, 2014 at 6:08 am

The mere fact that you can minimize the data breach at DOR and the deaths of children under DSS care shows just how drunk you are on the Haley Kool-Aid.

Reply
The Colonel September 25, 2014 at 6:12 am

One again, the system that was breached predates Haley’s administration by more than ten years. She delayed notification because SLED told her to. I have not seen a certified report indicating anyone was permanently harmed. The DSS mess is troubling but nothing new.

Steve September 25, 2014 at 10:29 pm

As I have said before, nothing Haley could ever do or not do would ever keep you from voting for her. There mere fact that you seek to minimize her epic failures at her cabinet agencies speaks volumes as to your ability to she her for what she is.

Have you ever heard her once accept one ounce of responsibility for any of these failures?

The Independent Observer September 24, 2014 at 2:11 pm

Yeppers. I’ve dealt with women and men with years of time sitting in a classroom, eventually acquiring master degrees, etc, but still very stupid and out of touch with the real world. Over the years, I have come to conclude that Haley is not cut out to be a leader. Anyone with true wisdom would agree, that she just doesn’t have it in her.

I think FITS is conceding the election way too early. Most voters are just starting to pay attention. Haley’s plus is that she is a Republican. Her minus is that she has been a terrible governor. Sheehen like any Democrat has a base in the 40%s. Ervin’s TV has been terrific and his numbers should keep going up. French has gotten no traction. So, in a three way race like this, Haley could lose. My suggestion is that FITS put a sock in it. Let’s see how the next few weeks play our.

Told ya so. Running in the primary would be a sure bet she will be someone’s VP. If no primary bid, a cabinet position. Millennial have to understand something. They are new to our nation, and frankly, ain’t been right about anything so far. I think it might be the vaccines or GMO foodstuffs. Hmmm, maybe the junkfood, recreational drugs, and recreational sex fried their receptors? The tail end of the Boomers scored higher on the SAT’s and wrote flag etiquette. Millennials would be clueless without us.

America hates the Bush name. So another Bush is suicide. As to Haley, if you want a real clueless bozo at the helm, then Haley is your gal. Vote for her. But she will never make it that far anyway. Too much dirt and quite a lengthy list of incompetence to sink her battleship in the first round.

Wonder how she felt about Nikki when she endorsed Mitt and then disappeared for two weeks while Newt coasted to victory the SC primary? Or when Mitt was photographed with his hand on her (formerly) shapely rear end, firmly enveloped by her Exotica Bubble Butt Blue Dress, now (sadly) retired to the closet of clothes that no longer fit the bulging ass/midsection of the (formerly) naughty but now just banal Mrs. Haley…
Where have you gone, Nikki? Where is the sultry yet flat chested milf who made out with Will Folks in the front seat of her Caddilac SUV at a public park after a few too many vodka tonics and political gossip? Where is the lonely insatiable wildcat of a housewife who stayed on the cell phone for hours in 2 a.m. “strategery sessions” because the days were too full of children and family and illegal lobbying for Lexington County Hospital? Where is the size 4 boyshorts sporting minx who cast care aside to dance the wild fandango with an effeminant lobbyist after closing down a Minnesota speakeasy?
I miss our sexy sassy “you can’t prove it” Governesss. Where are the fires of youth? Gone, gone with the wind…
