Elfego, cite your sources. “Heightened sense of sociability”…really? It’s low information people like you that put Obama in office.

I edited the troll part out. But thanks for the link. It gave me such wisdom as, “Any sufficiently advanced troll is indistinguishable from a genuine kook.”

REEEEEFEERRRRRR MAAAAAADNNNEEESSSSSSS!

Like alcohol, pot can be consumed in a responsible manner, but there will always be absolute morons who abuse it and act like idiots.

Even so, it is far less harmful than alcohol, and yes, tobacco. And yes, most everyone else is aware of this:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2014/04/02/americans-finally-understand-that-marijuana-is-less-harmful-than-alcohol/

…even if Obama’s guys aren’t:

Have fun fearmongering though.

I do not deny your stance on tobacco but being ignorant does not excuse the use of either one!

There are risks to so many activities — driving, eating, smoking, having sex, walking in certain parts of town, etc. There is nothing wrong with pointing out that, hey, marijuna is not all leprechans and pots full of gold, there are negative consequences to using it.
That’s fine, but don’t use it as a basis to deny a person the right to do as he pleases within the four corners of his home, so long as he directly harms nobody else.
It’s not your business if marijuana is causing a “heightened sense of sociability” to Joe Blow, nor should it be the government’s business so long as it’s done responsibly.

Just as long as folks know the truth what they do in their own home is their business. Raping the kids, make out with animals etc. Don’r Worry,Be happy!

Reading comprehension is not one of your strengths. I guess you scanned over the part about “so long as you directly harm nobody else.”

Elfego April 3, 2014 at 8:16 pm

Common sense is not one of your traits either. I did not read over anything but your reading comprehension is the one lacking . Marijuana smoking hurts someone else directly and indirectly. A play on ones words is how politicians are destroying America. Of course if you live by yourself and are a total loner you could be right!

You lost this battle four comments ago. You are truly ignorant on the subject of medical cannabis and you have zero compassion for the people of this state who are suffering from debilitating illness’s..

Elfego April 4, 2014 at 8:44 am

That gives everyone the right to toke up and get wacked! Dont worry,Be happy!

show me proof that Marijuana smoking its not good for you.

Seriously April 4, 2014 at 3:38 am

Ignorance is no excuse for not allowing medical cannabis to be used to help improve the lives of the sick people of south carolina.

Damn. TBG can get most the same effects by practicing *celibacy*…and that’s free and carries no risk of incarceration.

Yay.

Do some research and know the facts. Cannabis has zero withdrawal effects unless you are using it all day every day. It is thousands of times safer than alcohol, prescription Rx’s, and any over the counter medication.

Actually, I now keep a supply in my car which are in baggies and labeled as to their source (State House grounds, Riverbanks Zoo, Five Points, and various other places in five counties — just so the “pebble dna” matches up with where I say I was).

I never thought I would agree with Rutherford on anything…….I guess I was wrong. I agree 100% with him. I also realoze this is also a ploy for him to get the door “cracked open” to move towards the recreational use of marijuanna and to be honest I think thats great!
Its not mine, or anyones else’s business what someone else does in their home. If smoking a joint will make someone feel better or relieve their misery from sickness and ailments why is it the governements business? If someone wants to go home and smoke a joint and “alter their mind” for awhile, who’s business is that? It’s simply none of our’s. This farce has gone on way too long in this country. Who really gives a damn?
Legalize it and lets move on to more important debates in the country. We have much bigger issues.

South Carolina does not permit statewide initiatives or referendums. The state’s Code of Laws does grant citizens of all municipalities the right to initiate and approve ordinances. So yes, they decide what we get to vote for.
