Washington, DC – Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, issued the following statement on Governor Nikki Haley’s State of the State address:

“South Carolinians have heard it all before from Governor Haley, and they know one thing for sure: she just can’t be trusted to deliver on her word. From her cover-up of a tuberculosis outbreak to failing to inform 6.4 million consumers and businesses that their financial information had been hacked, Nikki Haley has proven that she’s just not very good at being governor. And what’s worse is that she refuses to hold herself or her administration accountable for their failures.

“South Carolina needs a governor who will work in a bipartisan way to create jobs, rebuild a crumbling infrastructure and restore faith and integrity in a broken state government. That’s exactly the governor Vincent Sheheen will be.”

All thought I completely agreement with the content of the Governor of Vermont’s statement, I get a lot of heartburn from out of staters minding our business.
And I made up that word.

dwb619 are you sure you made up that word or is your South Carolina education showing? Someone has to mind our business because idiots like you certainly are incapable in doing so.

Fred, I don’t know if you were trying to make a point, but we are all now made dumber in having to read your comment.

If one could be sued for spreading stupidity, you would have been bankrupted long ago.

Then you should crap in your pants on all the out of state money that Nikki and Joe Wilson get. May I propose some campaign reform? No out of state money, no out of district money, no money from any place but the area where you are running and from real living people.

“…broken state government”? How can that be when taxpayers are on the hook to pay 80% of healthcare and a pension costs including Enron style salary scales for ten percent of our state’s population with smoke and mirror funding using tax revenue? Sounds like the 10% is doing just fine…and they are “state government”.

“How can that be when taxpayers are on the hook to pay 80% of healthcare and lofty pension plans on top of Enron style salary scales for ten percent of our state’s population”

BS…I would hardly consider the average state employee pay “Enron style”, if you want to see those type salaries you need to look at Nikki Haley’s appointees and their friends. Considering you will likely vote for Haley you need to quit bitchin.

The 80% healthcare is also bunk as it does not account for premiums, deductibles, co-pays and does not apply to all situations, doctors, or facilities.

If you seriously think that the average state employee is the problem perhaps you need to take your insurance and go to the doctor for a brain scan….to see if one is present.

It is always a great speech when one is not constrained by honor, morality or facts.

Living us always much more entertaining.

Queen Haley once again stands ready to fuck South Carolina over for money and power and the blind followers will push the button to keep letting her do so.

We have heard it all before. If you like your doctor you can keep you doctor. The loudest thing I have heard from the Democrats is the booing of God at their convention and Governor Cuomo’s telling folks that are different they are not welcome in New York State. All of this comes across loud and clear to me. I do not care to listen to bigots!

I think Gov Shumlin needs to spend his time in Vermont. From all I read about Vermont it use some of Gov Haley’s help.
