Michael Luppe today announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the office of Comptroller General of South Carolina.

It is time to breathe life into the Comptroller’s office and I intend to work tirelessly to restore trust and efficiency because South Carolinians should expect nothing less.”
Michael Luppe is a businessman who resides in Hartsville, South Carolina with his wife, Andrea of 13 years. Luppe is committed to reforming the office of Comptroller General to provide South Carolinians with a Comptroller we can trust.
“Having spent a career in private sector business, I understand that if you fail at your job – you miss deadlines and you underperform – you get fired. I am going to restore trust to the Comptroller’s office and I will make it a priority to work with all sides to attack the state’s massive pension fund liability.”

Good! It’s about time someone took out Eckstrom, who treats the job as part-time while he plays old-man Army with his buddies.

Mark and Maria need to be next. They are an embarrassment too, “holding herself in the moonlight” and “soul mates” like the Peelers. They are on their way out also, with the defeat of Halfacre, Frazier’s resignation and hopefully the loss of Jean Toal.
Then the GOP can begin it’s transformation into a party absence of it’s embarrassing laughing stock and it’s hypocritical and embarrassing black eyes.
Karma and the seven deadly sins will get this bunch, even if the good people of SC don’t.
Get rid of these self absorbed people and maybe we can begin to clean up politics and the GOP, and it will be respectable again.

Luppe announced his candidacy, but it will not be official until he has filed. Filling all of the paper work and paying the filing fee, then it will be official.
The biggest laugh is that girlfriend of Eckstrom’s, Kelly Payne. What a psycho! She makes Eckstrom look like Billy Graham.
I’m sorry I missed this press back then; I would have loved to see someone take out Eckstrom and his crazy lover.
Too bad Luppe couldn’t have stuck it out. I hear his best friend died from cancer shortly after he announced.
