Statement by S.C. Rep. Bakari Sellers on today’s decision by Lt. Governor Glenn McConnell:

“Today Lt. Governor McConnell said that he made a decision to drop politics. Unfortunately, in reality, it seems that the politicos who have taken over the Republican Party have dropped Glenn McConnell in favor of a more ultra fringe tea party candidate. Moderate Republicans continue to be exiled from their party by far right tea party leaders who are out of touch with the issues facing real South Carolinians. I am running for Lt. Governor to help the hard-working families of our state and to put an end to political extremism that has
created gridlock at the statehouse.”

Rep. Sellers is from Denmark, SC and represents House District 90 which covers parts of Bamberg, Barnwell and Colleton Counties. He is a member of the House Judiciary Committee and also a candidate for Lt. Governor.

Maybe Bakari can help run the McConnell going away party by spiking the punch and then driving everyone home.

I hear T-Bone Benjamin has volunteered to MC the affair and provide taxi service as well.

We can also orchestrate a race where we line up blacks constituents on the streets a la “Death Race 2000” so they can both mow them down while doing laps around Columbia in their cars.

You made a mistake. You said “blacks” instead of “niggers.”

Would never vote for a DUI candidate. Much less one with his ideas and ideals!
