I’ve eaten there twice… my review, “overpriced burgers”.

Eat an overpriced burger once, shame on them.

The second time I didn’t have to pay for it.

Mucho Margarita was good, until they sold out to the Mexican swill chain that now occupies that location.

You put a few entries on your blog completely slurping Finlay and now he’s paying you advertising dollars.

I assume the other execs/legislators/etc. you trash on here have refused to buy your favor?

Relax and go have an overpriced but otherwise decent burger.

You’d have to try really hard to beat a “pork o’ plenty” at the Beacon. JC isn’t there any longer, god rest his soul, but just go in, tell ’em, pork ‘o penty, all O. (I don’t care for fries)

Have you noticed how nasty the ceiling at the Beacon is nowadays? John White must be spinning in his grave. Still has an “A” rating from DHEC, though. Shows how poorly our health regulation of restaurants is. Food is still tasty, though.

Only place for a decent burger in Spartanburg “proper” is “Ike’s” (serving fresh cut fries for YEARS!!!) but you can’t beat the Nu-Way for pure “Soul”

That being said, the burgers at the “Copper River” semi-chain are the best around. They are not in Spartanburg “proper”(one in Boiling Springs, the other in “Grrrr”). The Copper River in “Grrrr” makes one of the biggest/best burgers I have ever eaten.

Just be mindful of some of the “Grrrr” locals at the bar around 5 PM on weekdays – there some dudes who like to show their ass then.

But then again, it is “Grrrrr” and if you don’t back down, the burger and the beer is worth it.

It’s kind of a game for me…………….

“FITS” wouldn’t hang 5 minutes!!!!

This place has “c” rated bugers at “a” rated prices, ate there 2 weeks ago because the Mexican place my daughter said we were going to was not open. It cracked me up Guy Fieri’s photo is at the entrance with probably “off the hook” written there. Guy needs to go to better restaurants. The front porch viewing in the 5 points area is the only reason I’d go back.

Yo

FITS likes to characterize Finlay as a business man. 1st, Pawleys was the creation of someone else who saved Kirkman’s ass when Congaree Grill was losing thousands of dollars a day. All Kirkman did with Pawleys is write the check.

Rising High was the hottest thing in town, where are they now?

Only reason he is mentioned as part owner of Doc’s is because he and Jimmy Stevenson (True Owner) are friends, it is Kirkman’s building and Kirkman wrote a check.

Also, I have heard that since the creator of Pawley’s has left(2 years ago) , food quality has dropped, and Kirkman’s Mt. Pleasant experiment is flopping fast.

Who is the ‘creator’? Kyle or Tommy. Both are crooks that have run their share of restaurants in the ground!

“Stable of advertisers?” How many horses do you need in a barn does it take to turn it into a stable? Apparently one, by this accounting, as best as I can tell.

Ever since Guy Fieri and his traveling show of crap came to Pawley’s their quality is shit. I’ve tried to go to this Poe’s wannabe (or trademark plagerizer) and eat, but after the show their quality has dropped, and no one knows how to properly cook the damn thing. Don’t even try to specify temp, because it will come the way they want you to have it. It’s overpriced. for that amount of money, I’m hitting Oak Table, Cock n Bull or Kraken…and if I’m in a pinch, and need a substitute that is less money but extremely better quality than Pawley’s, I’ll snag a Five Guys.
