COLUMBIA, S.C. – Pro-family and pro-life leaders from across South Carolina today joined the Haley for Governor Faith and Family coalition.

Members of the coalition will advise Governor Haley on family issues over the course of the 2014 campaign and beyond and work directly with her to strengthen South Carolina families.

“The stronger our families are the stronger our state is,” said Dr. Bob Taylor, a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church where he serves on the Board of Deacons. “Governor Haley realizes that, and her hard work to bring jobs, protect the unborn and defend traditional marriage is making our families, and therefore our state, stronger.”

Dr. Taylor is Chairman of the Greenville County Council and retired dean at Bob Jones University.

“Guided by Christian faith and grounded in the unshakable values that make our country great, Governor Haley and First Gentleman Michael Haley, a captain in South Carolina’s Army National Guard, are standing tall for South Carolina families, and South Carolina families are proud to stand with the Haleys,” said Dr. Tony Beam, Vice-President for Student Services and Christian Worldview at North Greenville University.

Dr. Beam hosts the radio show “Christian Worldview Today.” He is also Vice-Chairman of the Christian Life and Public Affairs Committee of the South Carolina Baptist Convention.

“Governor Haley has a stellar pro-life record,” said Lisa Van Riper of Greenville, who leads S.C. Citizens for Life. “By signing two important pieces of pro-life legislation, Governor Haley has advanced the cause of protecting innocent human life in South Carolina. The governor signed the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act that ensures any child born alive in South Carolina, including a child who survives an attempted abortion, is an individual human being entitled to the full protections of the law. The governor signed the Abortion Opt Out of Obamacare that excludes coverage for most abortions in the federal exchange programs. South Carolina is privileged to have a strong, pro-life governor and we intend to keep her.”

“Traditional, Christ-centered family values are under assault from Washington to Columbia, and it’s no longer enough for elected officials to talk the talk, they have to walk the walk,” said Hilton Head Island’s Stu Rodman, who holds leadership positions on the boards of several national Christian ministries. “Not only do we know Governor Haley, a wife and mother of two, to be ‘personally’ pro-life and pro-family in her words, we have seen her fighting every day and using every resource at her disposal, beginning as a freshman legislator, to strengthen our families by defending traditional marriage and protecting every human life. She is exactly what South Carolina families need in a governor.”

Rodman, Vice Chairman of the Beaufort County Council, served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and led the Palmetto Family Council.

Newberry County’s S.C. Citizens for Life chapter president, Chad Connelly, contrasted Governor Haley’s commitment to strengthening South Carolina families with liberal career politician Vince Sheheen’s troubling record of pandering to pro-abortion, anti-traditional marriage interests.

“We are touched to have the support of these dedicated and influential faith and family leaders from around South Carolina who understand the importance of having a governor who is truly, in words and deeds, committed to the values we hold so dear,” said Connelly. “Nikki Haley has a record of fighting for every single life and for South Carolina families. That’s not true of Vince Sheheen who has spent his campaign for governor undermining the hard fought efforts and hard won victories of the values community in South Carolina, kicking it off at the home of an abortion activist and secretly appearing at a rally promoting gay marriage. We need a governor who will stand up for South Carolina values – not just when it’s politically expedient but every single day, and Nikki Haley is that governor.”

Members of the Haley for Governor Faith and Family Coalition include:

Frank Barron, Board Member, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Lexington
Dr. Tony Beam, Vice President for Student Services and Christian Worldview at North Greenville University, Greenville
Wayne Cockfield, Florence Chapter President, S.C. Citizens for Life; Vice President, Medical Ethics at National Right to Life; Member, Board of Directors of National Right to Life; Florence
Chad Connelly, Newberry County Chapter President, S.C. Citizens for Life, Newberry
Lauren Cooley, CEO, Conservative Students for a Better Tomorrow, Furman University, Greenville
Dr. John Duncan, Dean, Charleston Southern Business School, Charleston
Bill Egerdahl, Pastor, Grace Baptist Church, Lexington
Carl Falk, Former Chairman, Palmetto Family Council; Chairperson of Teach My People, Georgetown
Lenna Fox Neill, CEO, Piedmont Women’s Center, Greenville
Holly Gatling, Executive Director, S.C. Citizens for Life, Columbia
Chad Groover, Deacon, Cornerstone Baptist, Greenville
Jimmy Jones, Pastor, Christ Central Ministries, Columbia
Josh Kimbrell, Host, Common Cents Radio; Chair, Palmetto Conservative Alliance, Greenville
Trudy Laub, Executive Director, Palmetto Pregnancy Center, Rock Hill
Deb Marks, Midlands Chapter President, S.C. Citizens for Life, Columbia

It’s closing in on election season so it’s time for Repubs to trot out their phony religious “values.” And you wonder why things never change in SC?

Haley’s original suggestion to head the coalition was Jenna Jameson, but when 1st Louey Cuckold found out that they couldn’t expense Jameson’s meetings (at Heartbreakers) to the taxpayers he went ape shit and said “Fuck it, they wanna bunch of Jesus freaks? Fine, let’s give them what they want, Nikki and I still get ours on the side anyway.”

I knowed what’s right and wrong since I was ten.
I heared a lot of stories and I reckon they are true
About how girls’re put upon by men.
I know I mustn’t fall into the pit,
But when I’m with a feller,

I’m just a girl who cain’t say no,

TYPICAL RIGHT WING FRAUD, TAKING ADVANTAGE OF STUPID GULLIBLE PEOPLE!

Haley: Oh, don’t look behind the curtain. Which shows: That I’m a thief, liar, whore and SC traitor willing to sellout: USC, The Citadel, Charleston Ports, DHEC, and all of SC for campaign money. That I tried to kill 3000+ jobs in Lexington’s Amazon.com company. That the promised thousands of jobs from Walmart were all a lie. That I took bribe money to illegally lobby the State House for approval of another unnecessary Heart facility at Lexington Hospital which is costing Lexington Cty tax payers and patients millions of dollars. The 3rd heart hospital in the area, while the entire Midlands has only one central Trauma Center at Richland Hospital. And I, wasted money desperately needed for another Trauma Center in Lexington Cty. That I underfunded technical services and lied about the computer theft of every SC Citizen’s private Tax Data to international hackers. That I diverted Taxpayer money to my private campaign fund raising. That I have a sexual reputation around the State House that would make Paris Hilton Blush. That my only business experience is running a small clothing store for strippers, etc., etc., etc.

Yes, ignore all these facts and just try and believe that I am actually a big Christian, who wants to make the world so much better. Focus on other things, and don’t look behind the curtain and see the real Nicky Haley running the fake Wizard of SC Oz.

SUCKERS!!!

That is a long list of people who think it is OK to disciminate against gays and lesbians. Please leave those scared, pregnant women alone, too. Heaven knows they have enough to deal with without having to put up your tripe. Make your own damn decisions and leave the rest of us to do likewise.

Oh so reminescent of Mark Sanford’s and Bob Peeler’s slogan and run for Governor.

Sanford always talked of his faith and “Jenny and our 4 boys”. Peeler ran on “Faith, Family and Friends” while carrying on an adulterous affair with a campaign worker and next door neighbor. Many of the same people listed were in one or the other of their camps.

I remember Peeler asking for prayers at the home of one of these faithful followers. He most assuradly left immediately and had a rendezvous with his adulterous next door neighbor in their little hideaway. Sanford waited till being elected to run his sperm down the Appalachin Trail, Peeler only went next door to run his trail down the neighbors tail.

Now we have Haley, named in a divorce and rumored to have tailed many more. She must leave the trail of a snail! We do have a tendency to promote the homewrecker, don’t we.

Now if Richard Eckstrom can just come up with his faith based slogan and platform, oh wait, he already did a few elections ago. Well, we can just follow suit and elect and re-elect our mistakes and embarrassments over and over again. After all, we are becoming the State of Faithful adulterers, loosers, hypocrits, liars and backstabbers aren’t we. What a proud banner for us to wear!

I’m sure these baby makers are all opposed to abortion , after all it would be against their faith based platforms.Unless it happens to be the making of their deceit and folly and necessary for their political survival. In their minds, they could then justify it, as necessary for their political futherance, even with their faith based platforms.

Church and state should be separated. Our founding fathers were New Age guys for their times, children of the Enlightenment, and never wanted America to undergo the pain of a Europe soaked for centuries in the bloody entanglement of state and church, e.g. the Crown and state-sponsored religion, e.g. England & Anglicanism………They wanted freedom of choice in matters of faith including freedom NOT to have faith.

“The stronger our families are the stronger our state is.” I agree with that 100%. The rest of it is utter bullshit.
Won’t our families be stronger the healthier they are? Wouldn’t they be healthier with more access to preventive health care? Without the threat of a serious illness bankrupting them and/or causing them to lose their homes?
Yet our Governor has said we can’t afford to keep our families strong by participating in Medicaid expansion- despite the fact that the feds are picking up 100% of the cost now and 90% going forward. Looks to me like her and her ilk care deeply about the unborn, just not so much about babies and children.

Don’t even get me started on abortion or Nikki Haley. As a survivor of rape and impregnation ( by my biological father), NO HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL a person that they have to carry that child and then decide whether to give it up for adoption or keep it. Neither one of those was an option that I could have lived with for the rest of my life. PERIOD, THE END.

Anyone who heard of C Street when Mark Sanford mentioned it at his “I got caught” press conference at the State House on his return from Argentina, should read Jeff Sharlet’s ‘The Family’ and ‘C Street’. This bunch is a part of that evil.
‘The Family’ gives the background history (from the Billy Graham archives at Wheaton University – until they were closed to the public in the middle of Sharlet’s research) of this group of preachers, politicians, CEOs and generals from its founding by Abraham Veriede in the 30s so that business could fight American workers and the New Deal.
Their tentacles run rampant through America’s worst foreign policy mistakes since WWII.
Nixon flunky Charles Colson and Prison Ministries, the National Prayer Breakfast (where they make money selling access to the US president to some of the world’s worst dictators), Wilburforce and, like the Kochs, more names of more front groups than you can shake a stick at…to secretly control our government via members like DeMint, Coburn, Inhofe, Brownback, the list goes on and on. People need to learn and pay attention and not put any more of these professional Christianists in public office.
