Clemson, Carolina Release Game Notes For October 5 Matchups
What is Clemson University running back Roderick McDowell’s status for this weekend’s road game against Syracuse? How many more home games must the University of South Carolina win – including this weekend’s matchup against Kentucky – to break the school record for consecutive home victories? When was the last time a Tiger team traveled to the Empire State? And where does Gamecock running back Mike Davis stand among the Southeastern Conference’s rushing leaders?
If you answered “questionable,” “two,” “1951″ and “second” to those four questions, congrats – you’re smart. You probably also don’t need to read the detailed game notes released this week by the sports information offices of both No. 3/5 Clemson (4-0, 2-0 ACC) and No. 12/13 South Carolina (3-1, 1-1 SEC).
We need to read them, clearly …
One interesting note including in the USC release?
Gamecock wide receiver Shaq Roland – who was suspended for the Gamecocks 28-25 win over Central Florida last weekend – was not listed on the Gamecocks’ three-deep depth chart against Kentucky at any of the three starting wide receiver positions.
That would indicate he is still in head coach Steve Spurrier’s doghouse for his “unspecified violation of athletics department policy.”
