An email sent to thousands of Americans late Friday included the home addresses of their elected officials – and a very controversial subject line.
FITS was forwarded a copy of the email – entitled “KILL LIST” – from one of our sources who received it shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
While the sender’s address appears to be affiliated with the website AR15.com – a page for weapons’ enthusiasts named after the popular assault rifle – the site’s owners say they had nothing to do with this particular “blast.”
“It DID NOT come from us,” a statement from the website notes. “Someone spoofed our e-mail address.”
The statement added that “the FBI and Secret Service are aware of the spoofed emails.”
Scary stuff, people …
