S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley will attend the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this week at National Harbor, Maryland.
Haley will introduce former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney – whose 2012 presidential bid she endorsed – at the event, which is sponsored by the American Conservative Union (ACU).
CPAC is billed as a major gathering for “conservatives” from around the country, however if you think either Romney or Haley are “conservative,” you should probably have your head examined. Romney is one of the earliest supporters of socialized medicine in America, while Haley has overseen dramatic expansions of government-funded health care in here in the Palmetto State.
In fact this year alone more than 130,000 people will be added to South Carolina’s already bloated Medicaid rolls – helping drive a massive $600 million increase in Medicaid funding in the state budget.
