Columbia, S.C.- Former Senator and Presidential candidate Rick Santorum will headline a South Carolina Republican Party fundraiser on Monday, August 20th in Spartanburg. The event will serve as a kickoff to the party’s 2012 Upstate victory efforts.
“Senator Santorum’s common sense, conservative message will undoubtedly fire up our activists and get them ready to defeat Barack Obama. I want to personally thank Senator Santorum for taking the time to grow and support our party,” said SCGOP Chairman Chad Connelly.
Rick Santorum said, “I am excited to be returning to Spartanburg. The Upstate has a truly special place in the heart of my family. We made many great friends there over the past several years, and I am looking forward to returning to lend a hand in their efforts to ensure South Carolina continues to elect solid conservatives up and down the ticket.”
