Tracy Edge Enjoys Comfortable Lead In SC House Race

COLUMBIA, S.C. (May 22, 2012) — According to a recent independent poll conducted by the South Carolina REALTORS®, incumbent State Representative Tracy Edge holds a commanding lead over his challengers, garnering 56% of the vote in his district.

The South Carolina REALTORS® surveyed likely primary voters in district 104 and found that Representative Edge’s closest challenger, Greg Duckworth is polling in the single digits, getting only 9% of the vote. Gary Stephens and Charles Randall are polling in the low single digits. In addition to his strong lead, Representative Edge is well liked by the voters, with 64% having a favorable view of him.

“Representative Edge is popular among those voters most likely to vote and his lead in the polls, with less than three weeks until the primary, puts him on track to most likely win re-election,” said Nick Kremydas, Chief Executive Officer of the South Carolina REALTORS®.

The South Carolina REALTORS® surveyed 300 likely primary in House District 104 from April 25-29th. The margin of error is +/-5.7%. Each survey was conducted by live professional interviewers by the polling firm America Strategies, Incorporated, on behalf of the South Carolina REALTORS®.
