IN CASE YOU MISSED IT …

The website BuzzFeed scored a nice South Carolina political scoop this week when it obtained exclusive video footage of S.C. Sen. Jakie Knotts (RINO-Lexington) calling then-State Rep. Nikki Haley a “raghead.” This incident – and the intense backlash it spawned – helped propel Haley to the Republican gubernatorial nomination nearly two years ago.

“We got a raghead in Washington. We don’t need a raghead in the State House,” Knotts said on the June 3, 2010 edition of Pub Politics, a popular local internet radio show.

The rotund RINO later apologized for the slur, which was featured a few months later in a “Hate in the Mainstream” report published by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

So … why did it take so long for this video to surface? Because political consultant Wesley Donehue – who doubles as a producer and co-host of Pub Politics – refused to make the video available on his website.
