He’s not a frontrunner for the U.S. Congress or a State Representative anymore … and last week the S.C. Supreme Court suspended his law license. Not only that, he’s facing jail time for allegedly harassing his ex-girlfriend.
Nonetheless, former S.C. Rep. Thad Viers appears to be “keeping the pimp hand strong.”
According to our sources, the Palmetto State’s most infamous “Lovestruck Lothario” is currently dating television anchor Holly Morgan (official bio/ Facebook fan page). In fact, the relationship may have been ongoing while Morgan was breaking stories about Viers’ various escapades – which, if true, would be a big journalism “no no.”
Morgan is the morning anchor at WPDE TV 15 (ABC – Florence/ Myrtle Beach, S.C.) – where she was hired in 2009 after a stint an an NBC affiliate in Casper, Wyoming.
This website’s founding editor Will Folks (a.k.a. Sic Willie) can’t say much on this subject … after all, he dated former WCBD TV 2 (NBC – Charleston, S.C.) morning anchor Meredith Land while he was serving as the campaign spokesman to former S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford. It’s also rumored that he cut a wide swath through various television newsrooms during his tenure as Sanford’s press secretary.
Viers, 34, was arrested in January and charged with harassing his former girlfriend Candace Bessinger, granddaughter of South Carolina barbecue magnate Maurice Bessinger. The five-term lawmaker gave up his seat in the S.C. House last month prior to being indicted on those charges.

Morgan interviewed Viers on March 21 – the day he resigned his seat. In fact, she may have been the first reporter to break the news of his resignation.
Stay tuned … Viers may be out of office, but he’s clearly not done making waves.
