SAY HELLO TO NIKKI HALEY, EVERYBODY!
S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley and her staff don’t read blogs … remember?
“We don’t watch local TV, um, local news, we don’t read local press, um, we certainly don’t read blogs, the only thing we watch is the national news,” Haley told a local television station last December.
Of course like most utterances that escape Haley’s tightly clenched teeth … that statement is patently inaccurate. Not only does Haley’s staff stalk FITS like a fat kid stalks cake, her chief of staff Tim Pearson has reportedly sent screenshots of advertisements appearing on this website to their sponsors – demanding that they be pulled.
Sensitive, sensitive …
Anyway, imagine our surprise then to see this ad on our site …
Ha!
That’s right … Haley’s campaign organization is running ads on FITS that offer a signed copy of her new book to anyone who donates $50 to her reelection bid.
Hmmmm …
While we were tempted to have our people yank the Haley ads (which were placed on this website via Google), in the spirit of the free market we’ve decided to leave them up … at least until the nastygram from Haley’s chief of staff arrives at the governor’s campaign headquarters.
