South Carolina Drops To 11
The University of South Carolina baseball team fell to No. 11 in the nation according to Baseball America after losing to in-state rival Wofford and dropping two out of three games to top-ranked Florida last week.
The two-time defending national champions – who began the season ranked No. 3 – have now lost six out of their last eight games after starting the season 15-1. The Gamecocks also fell to 1-5 in the SEC – which continues to dominate the national rankings.
In addition to the Gators, the latest Baseball America poll includes Arkansas (No. 3), Kentucky (No. 10), Louisiana State (No. 15), Mississippi (No. 16) and Georgia (No. 25).
