Former SCGOP Chairwoman Karen Floyd – the Palmetto State’s new “Feminazi-in-Chief” – wants you to know that she’s the one who got Catherine Templeton confirmed as the new commissioner of the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC).
In a self-congratulatory email blasted out to the South Carolina political universe on Wednesday, Floyd applauds the efforts of her “Palladian View TEAM (Together Everyone Accomplishes Much)” in securing Templeton’s confirmation by a 38-3 vote.
“Palladian View can say with gratification that another conservative woman has received her due based on her merit and credentials,” Floyd’s organization wrote in its email blast.
Wait … if Templeton was confirmed based on her “merit and credentials,” why has Floyd been incessantly playing the gender card over the last few weeks on her behalf?
And why is Floyd promising to play the gender card again?
“Palladian View’s efforts in support of Catherine Templeton is but the first in a passionate commitment to empowering conservative women by showcasing issues, promoting women, and providing a platform where women can see their voice,” the email concludes.
While there are plenty of Republican women who line up for this nonsense, fortunately there are at least a few of them who prefer to be recognized on the basis of their accomplishments – not the fact that they have girl parts. Needless to say, Floyd’s ongoing Vagina Chronicles rubs them the wrong way.
“These people are idiots,” a prominent female GOP activist from the S.C. Lowcountry wrote to FITS shortly after receiving Floyd’s email blast.
We agree.
Catherine Templeton was by no means the most qualified person for this position (in fact she may have been one of the least qualified), however she is the person this state’s chief executive wanted to fill it – and that’s the way an executive branch is supposed to work.
That’s why we argued in favor of her confirmation … and against a filibuster aimed at stopping it.
To her credit, Templeton appeared to have her “big girl pants on” during the confirmation process. If only the same thing could be said of Floyd …
