It’s been over a month since S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley bailed on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney following his blowout loss to former U.S. Speaker Newt Gingrich in South Carolina’s “First in the South” presidential primary.
Unfamiliar with this snub?
Click here for the details …
At the time Haley – whose endorsement of Romney clearly failed to move Palmetto State Republicans – pledged that she would continue campaigning for Romney nationally.
Has she done that?
According to a lengthy article by reporters Jonathan Allen and Reilly Moore, not so much … in fact, not at all.
“Instead of stumping for Romney through other important Southern states, where her name recognition would be high, Haley has stayed at home while heavy campaigning has taken place in Florida, Georgia and Virginia,” Allen and Moore write. “Other prominent national Republicans – including Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie – have taken her place.”
Unlike other local new media reporters, Allen and Moore managed to wrestle a quote for their story out of Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey (who told them the governor has been preoccupied with state business lately). They also got a quote from the state’s preeminent feminazi Karen Floyd (who said basically the same thing).
Romney’s campaign didn’t return their calls.
Anyway, you can read the story for yourself by clicking on the link below …

Quote from the Patch story, “She’s the second most unpopular governor in the South”

You don’t need a PhD in psychology to figure out Nikki Haley. If there’s a quick, easy payoff, she’s in. If not, bye bye.

When Loftis was important in the campaign he made sure the campaign was about Romney, and Romney did well.
When Haley came in it became about her. It gave the political classes a reason to look hard for someone else. And they did just that!
With the focus off Romney, Newt was buoyed. Then he had two fantastic debates.
There can only be one star, and Haley battled Mitt for it. Shame on her, and him for allowing it.
The Loftis plan was the right way. Too bad she screwed it up.

Loftis screwed up the campaign from the beginning according to Romney inside staffers. All ’bout Curtis and his fundraising they say.

When haley came on board I left mitt. She is dismall and I can not vote for her or her endorsed candidate.

Gov. Haley continues to be a disaster for everything she touches.
I have a friend in Utah, a Morman and close to the Romney camp. She says, “the Romney campaign realizes Gov. Haley was what sank him in the Palmetto State, wanted to distance himself; but, was in too deep and did not know how to get out.”
I think the fact, an adulterer and self serving slug (Newt) won bears this out.
Gov Haley has proved to be a horrible mistake and a disaster…..unless you are a play to play contributor, have an airplane, nice vacation home or are Michael Haley.

The fact that Gingrich won in SC shows just how out of touch the voter base here is. It is no wonder this state continually lags far behind other states in so many categories.

The fat is creeping up on her and it will smooth it out.

She doesn’t have time, as she is working on that primetime speech for Tampa

I voted for Gingrich just because Haley endorsed Romney. I would never vote for anyone Haley supported. Haley is the worst kind of politician.
By Smirks February 25, 2012 at 2:24 pm
And Gingrich isn’t?

Newt winning in SC is right up there with the guy’s love affair with the horse…..It’s a great day in SC.

Everyone knows Mitt wanted Nikki to shut the fuck up. She acted like she was the one running for President. Besides, she never listened to a single word of advise from his staff. On the morning of the election, they knew things were looking bad so they wanted to tone down the confidence and significance of a win. But what does Nikki do? “I so absolutely know Romney will win no question.” What a moron.

What are you saying? Nikki is a brownie in a girl scout’s uniform? After all, Templeton is a boozed up mental midget in a women’s body.
By Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali February 25, 2012 at 12:31 pm
Yes, someone was going to elaborate on the Templeton fiasco where she forgot she wasn’t at home & got shitfaced plastered at a fancy downtown hotel. A LLR aide had to pour her into a car, drive her home, and pay $300 to get her Durango out of an impound yard. So many questions. Not that she was drunk, but why did they tow her car? Both Romney & Haley were there, but avoiding each other.
