For those of you unfamiliar with S.C. Ways and Means committee chairman Brian White (RINO-Anderson), he’s representative of a lot of folks who hail from “The Land That Time Forgot.”

What do we mean by that?
Well, let’s just say there’s a reason White doesn’t list his college education on his official legislative bio …
Anyway ever since arriving at the S.C. State House in 2001, White has risen through the ranks of the “Republican-controlled” House of Representatives the old-fashioned way – meaning he’s gotten help from Democrats.
He’s also earned a reputation as a guy who can barely walk and chew gum at the same time … the sort of guy who might, say, stare blankly at a bank of elevator buttons for half an hour waiting for something to happen.

Obviously we’re joking around … we hope.
We’re sure there was a legitimate State House elevator malfunction that resulted in White being detained for thirty minutes while en route to his own budget committee meeting Tuesday afternoon.
Of course we’re not quite ready to rule out “user error.”

Bryan and me … we went to school together. Bryan’s reeeeel smart. He DOES TOO know how to make an elevator work !!! Bryan sat next to me on the school bus, the one Miss Harris drove. I still remember my first day taking Miss Harris’ school bus:
Dorothy Harris: Are you coming along?
Young Forrest Gump: Mama said not to be taking rides from strangers.
Dorothy Harris: This is the bus to school.
Young Forrest Gump: I’m Forrest, Forrest Gump.

Thats why Harrell wanted him elected, because he was his boy. And look what happened to the smartest guy on the committee? Stripped of his chairmanship he had held for 8 years. Shows you that White is easily spooked by smart people.
