Don’t Criticize Nikki Haley

YOU WILL BE DELETED FROM HER EXCELLENCY’S FACEBOOK PAGE

Like your taxpayer-funded emails, S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley is deleting critical comments made about her on Facebook. Not only that, she’s blocking individuals who criticize her from appearing on her Facebook page.

Awesome right? Sounds like yet another installment of our favorite program, “Big Sister Nimrata Is Watching.”

Obviously it’s Haley’s right to do whatever she wants on her own Facebook page … just as it’s her right to go on the popular social networking website pretending to be her husband (even though that technically violates Facebook Law).

But Haley is now backtracking on her administration’s original standard for deleting comments – namely the use of profanity or vulgarity – and her critics are calling her on it.

“Frank Martinez’s (c)omments containing no profanity or vulgarity were deleted simply because he spoke against her,” one website notes. “However, she did leave in comments where other posters called him an idiot.”

They’ve even got a picture of comments that have since been removed by the governor …

Not only that, we’ve been provided with a whole collection of blocked comments from someone who was banned from Haley’s page.

While Haley apparently isn’t in the mood to take criticism on Facebook, she’s doesn’t mind dishing it out.

For example, her late-night entry attacking a local television station prompted a major brou-ha-ha back in February.

Haley also routinely posts entries attacking the administration of Barack Obama, even though her S.C. Department of Transportation relied on a bailout from the federal government to stay afloat last summer – just six weeks after Haley signed off on the largest budget in state history.

That’s pretty hypocritical isn’t it?

Of course it is … but don’t try posting anything like that on Haley’s Facebook page.

Yes – I am one of people that has been banned from her facebook page and from her husband’s facebook page. He evidently didn’t like me putting anything on his site about him asking for campaign donations for Queen Haley’s birthday. It wasn’t like I was telling a lie or even being vulgar – I was just telling the truth which he nor Queen Haley evidently don’t appreciate on their facebook pages – they just want people to bow down to them(guess that comes from the Idian background) and say good things about them. Let’s not keep it real!!!

It is NOT too large to be an insane asylum.

We have proven that with Sanford and Haley, Zais and Eckstrom and numerous others.

The great majority of the people on her facebook aren’t even from the state of South Carolina – they are from just about every other state – wonder why that is – would you waste your time posting on the site of a Gov. from another state??? Guess she has just banned everyone from South Carolina.

I hate to say this, since I love our brethren down south of us here in Charlotte, but it’s….. it’s almost….. it’s like South Carolina WANTS to stay the doormat of America. It’s not enough to be there already, and be at or near the bottom in things like, you know, funding education and school rankings – it’s like they almost revel in the idea that they are 51st out of 50.

Not everyone in the state, of course. Probably not even most. Charleston’s great. But all the notables; Sanford, Bauer, Haley, Joe Wilson, Thad Viers’ recent comments on Twitter – WHAT is going on? Is it like some sub-consciouse, psychological mind game I don’t understand?

“and be at or near the bottom in things like, you know, funding education and school rankings”

Strange, in terms of funding I always thought we were around middle depending on the survey on a per pupil basis.

      schoolfundingfairness.org/executivesummary.htm

Typical causation fallacy via simpleton argument.

It’s kinda interesting though that a Charlotte resident would come on and basically shit on SC in general. I used to live in Meyers Park(Charlotte) and couldn’t stand the increase in population, traffic, & taxes. Charlotte’s become one big suburban shithole now with roads so clogged you could bike everywhere faster. It’s the perfect example of “central planning” gone wrong that started under Pat McCrory’s tenure.

I love it in SC despite all of its warts. Try not to throw too many stones in your glass house, ok Bobby? Maybe your energy might be better directed at putting your own house in order.

Per the NEA Reference Center, 2009 – 2010, Public School Revenue per Student: South Carolina 32nd – $ 11,646.00 and North Carolina 48th – 9,273.00.
I am certainly not saying we have anything more than a terrible public school system but let us stick to the facts.

    • By Smirks February 14, 2012 at 4:08 pm

Politics in SC is very partisan. Overall, we are a red state with very concentrated blue spots. As such, elections that count the entire state pretty much go full-on Republican, and elections that count limited areas go whichever way that area leans. Not only that, SC loves incumbents, has no recall powers, enables laziness and ignorance with a “straight-ticket” option on ballot machines, ranks as one of the lowest in education…

To make a long story short, there are countless factors that enable people to ride the system once they are in, and that’s exactly what they do. The ones satisfied with being a career politician stick to the legislative branch, and term-limited offices end up loaded with people whose goals are set beyond the state they are supposedly serving (first Sanford, now Nikki).

If you think it is some kind of psychological mind game, you’re over-thinking it. The simple fact is, you can’t save SC from itself.

      Bobby -

      Great points – I agree.

“What is going on?” you ask.

Well, we elect anyone with an “R” after their name in SC – that is what is going on . . .

A sociopath is a person who disregards and violates the rights of others while refusing to conform to societal norms. There are many characteristics to help you identify sociopathic behavior. 1-Notice if the person displays a lack of conscience. Sociopathic behavior is usually noticable in childhood. Take notice when you see a child who shows no emotions when something bad happens to someone else or shows no guilt or remorse for his or her own actions. 2- See if there is a pattern of poor or irresponsible behavior in school or on the job. Other behaviors to look for are recklessness, impulsivity, and participation in illegal activities. 3- Pay attention to the person’s personal relationships. Many sociopaths have the inability to love or have lasting relationships. This is because they can be very manipulative. 4- Recognize patterns of pathological lying. Many sociopaths will continue to lie even if they are caught. They can be very charming and get others who are blind to their behavior to side with them. 5- Notice if a person has some inflated sense of self-importance or narcissism. A sociopath believes they are the only person who matters and have complete disregard for everyone else. Although the soc. may be very charming, they will take advanatge of those who trust. 6- See if the person nhas the need for stimulation by engaging in risky or dangerous behavior. These behaviors are often sexual or thrill seeking. Sociopaths tend to get bored easily, which is why they seldom complete tasks and constantly seek out other forms of excitement. There is professional therapy for those who suffer.

She even let him keep commenting about me after I was blocked. This inbred idiot was posting public but irrelevant information about my job, my house and whatever else his retarded little mind thought would make me look bad. Sad thing is this child molester wannabe is probably STILL posting his irrational BS on her page and she is happy to have him waylon on about his support for her.

She said on one FB rant that we needed to be “Team South Carolina” rather than bickering. So, when she would rant about how much we should all hate Obama, I would ask her why we couldn’t all just get along and be “Team South Carolina” as she said. No response from her, but I got beat up by her supporters about supporting Obama. I tried to tell them I didn’t. I just wanted to see us be non-partisan and, as she suggested, work for the common good. No response from her, but I again got beat up by her supporters. Then, I pointed out that the last time I checked Nikki was the governor of all the people of SC, not a vocal few. I think I am about to be blocked. After all, she can’t take criticism or anyone who reminds her of what she has said in the past.

It’s a valid story because Haley has spent the past year running from reporters wanting to ask questions about the multiple scandals clouding her administration. Her excuse has been that she’s not hiding from these issues; she just communicates directly with the people via social media.

That claim is now proven to be (another) lie; she uses Facebook to spout her spin and blocks anyone who questions the queen. The fact that she ran her entire campaign on transparency is just icing on the cake.

SC Superintendent of Education, Mick Zais, is deleting comments and posts, as well. Absolutely amazing. I guess neither of them heard of public discourse or differing opinions. How about this? When Templeton was at LLR, she drove the State Durango to the Marriott in Charleston one Friday afternoon to meet friends for drinks. She got drunk and someone had to take her and pour her in the house. Maybe her house, maybe not. She left the State car in valet parking over the weekend at the motel. The following week 2 State employees at LLR had to take a $300.00 check down there to get the car. I’m sure Ms. Templeton appreciated the fact that the money was from the tax payers, it tied up two State employees (1 had to drive the car back to Columbia). All on the tax payer’s dime! Yep, that’s Nimrata’s cabinet rock star! I hope State Fleet cleaned all the liquor bottles and arrogant ignorance she filled it with while she had it, oh, and all the prescription pill bottles too.

Wouldn’t the Governor’s Facebook page, like any other communication of the Governor, be a “state record,” subject to legal requirements on preservation and disclosure? Does the Governor use state employees, perhaps folks in her office, to monitor and edit/delete comments from her Facebook page? If so, wouldn’t that at least suggest that her Facebook page is a state record and not a personal account? If it is a state record, how does she explain deleting comments from it? I don’t know the law on this – just asking.
