In early 2010 we led the charge in exposing the “Coastal Kickback” – a shameless pay-to-play scam that’s currently being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice - and we were every bit as aggressive last year in exposing the taxpayer-funded scams associated with the Interstate 73 boondoggle.
In both cases, the mainstream media has caught on – if not come around to our way of thinking (although we’ve still got some work to do on the I-73 front). Anyway, recognizing that their organization has been getting its ass kicked in the marketplace of ideas, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce – a.k.a. the nexus of all that’s corrupt on South Carolina’s Grand Strand – has decided to elevate the political profile of one of its smartest, most attractive assets.
Her name?
Nora Hembree … well it’s actually Nora Hembree Battle (she just got married).
The daughter of popular coastal solicitor (and S.C. Senate candidate) Greg Hembree, Nora appeared earlier this week on Pub Politics – a Columbia, S.C.-based internet radio show.

How’d she do? Well, when hosts Wesley Donehue and Phil Bailey let her get a word in edgewise, she acquitted herself extremely well … in fact, our founding editor was so impressed that he has offered Hembree a chance to make the Chamber’s case for Interstate 73 here on FITS.
Will she take us up on that offer?
We’ll soon find out …
In the meantime, we glad to (finally) have a worthwhile adversary in this particular scrape … err, “Battle.”

She is, indeed, quite easy on the eye, as well as being very smart and personable.
She also has her job cut out for her, as the spokesperson for that den of thieves up on Oak Street in MB. Maybe the “Myrtle Beach Mafia” should have run Nora for their candidate in the SC7th race, instead of the charisma-deficient feeb they are throwing their money at, Trillion Dollar Tom Rice.
It will be interesting to see if she can come up with anything new to bolster the losing argument for I-73 – besides the pure bullshit the MBAC has been spouting about it forever.

Too bad her Daddy is a former employee of Dick Harpootlians and who was running for Solicitor as a Democrat in the early 90′s. Those of us who worked with him then cant believe that Horry Republicans were stupid enough to believe that “he” is a republican. He is jusy like Harpo and he’ll lie and step on his mother to get ahead just like he did here in Richland County.
And her Mom worked for a liberal black Dem in the House at the time. Believe me, they aint Republican. Brett Branham needs to keep his eyes to himself too.

Well said. Hembree is as phony and as two-faced as they come. As for his daughter, I recall an article in The Snake paper about four years ago where she was named as one of the lemmings gushing at an Obama rally at Williams-Brice Stadium. The whole family’s plastic.

I tried to watch the clip but kept wondering if these two, unkempt, obnoxious asswipes would shut up long enough to let anyone else talk. This “program” is an oral fart. This is not a show – it’s an insulting trip into the egos of the two douchebags who are ‘hosts.’
