Florence – Jay Jordan, Republican candidate for Congress in South Carolina’s new 7th Congressional District announced today that he raised over $200,000 in just 2 months of fundraising in his first fundraising report since announcing for Congress last year.
“The outpouring of support our campaign has received in just 2 months of fundraising has been humbling and encouraging,” said Jay Jordan. “It is clear that the folks in the Pee Dee and along the Beach are looking for something new – a leader who is not a typical politician, a leader who can and will stand in the way of the compromise politics of Washington and a leader will stand on conservative and moral principles.”
Jay Jordan’s 4th Quarter report will show he raised $206,000 from 244 donors in just 2 months with over 96% of those donors being from inside the new 7th Congressional District.
“This country is on the wrong track and our values are being trampled,” said Jay Jordan. “I am running for Congress to restore those values that have been lost and ignored by politicians in Washington. The need is great for new, conservative and courageous leadership in Washington – it is time to fight for the freedom to save our future.”
Jay Jordan is a small business owner and attorney in Florence. Jay and his wife, Tara, have three children: Wallace, Lana Claire and William Monroe. It seems a bit strange to me that to contact a candidate from our state, we’d have to talk to someone from across the country. This makes no sense to me, whatsoever.

Hold on, you are saying that to contact Jordan, I have to contact him through a California Yankee? That just doesn’t make sense.

Yeah for real. That seems like a waste of money. What area code is 619 anyway? How about create jobs in Florence or Columbia and not Cali. Great first step to being our Congressman.

Ha, 619 is a San Diego area code. What a joke. Guess he couldn’t find anyone in South Carolina who would help support him and run his campaign.
Also, if he is so willing to outsource the job of running his campaign, I wonder if he’ll run on a platform of outsourcing jobs out of the United States?
Stay classy San Diego.

What a joke, 96% of donors from district, campaign 100% outside the district.

This is a joke having to contact someone all the way in california for issues in south carolina.
