S.C. FIRST GENTLEMAN SOLICITS DONATIONS ON OCCASION OF WIFE’S BIRTHDAY

When he’s not busy stuffing two-dollar bills into the musky crotches of South Carolina’s exotic dancers, S.C. First Gentleman Michael Haley likes to spend his time pimping out his taxpayer-funded executive chef … or erecting a government-subsidized wine cellar at his public mansion in downtown Columbia, S.C.

On Thursday, though, Haley took a break from his routine to wish his wife a happy birthday.

Awwwww. So sweet of him … right?

Well sort of … the First Dude’s birthday card was actually a fundraising letter for S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley.

“Would you be willing to donate $40 or even $400 to the Haley for Governor Campaign in honor of Nikki’s 40th?” Haley asks. “She would be very surprised – and most appreciative.”

Haley says that things have been so busy for his wife lately that she hasn’t gotten a “huge celebration like she deserves,” but that he is willing to “pass along your birthday wishes.”

“Thanks again for your never-ending support of the great progress Nikki is making for our state,” Haley concludes. “She is looking forward to a very productive legislative session – one that I know will continue to make you proud.”

Um … “great progress?” “Make us proud?” Only if you live in Georgia …
