In case you haven’t been following the ongoing saga of S.C. Rep. Thad Viers (R-Horry) and his estranged lover, Candace Bessinger, it’s been one helluva ride.
The former congressional candidate – whose bid for the newly-drawn S.C. seventh district was backed by Gov. Nikki Haley – was arrested on January 6 and charged with harassing Bessinger, the granddaughter of controversial barbecue magnate Maurice Bessinger.
Viers promptly dropped out of the race … although that hasn’t slowed the momentum of this “reality internet drama” one bit.

While Viers’ awaits a hearing on the charges against him (which look pretty thin, from what we’ve been able to gather), here’s a picture of Bessinger with S.C. Gov. I am a friend of the bessinger family and they did not want any of this-even heard they tried to talk Candace out of this-but unsure if she filed charges or police. Either way she should have never went to police for the emails that Viers sent. There were no curse words or threats of any kind.

I am a good friend of Candace but know Thad very well. Candace never intended for any of this to happen. If its meant for you both to be together he will provide a way. He died for our sins and nothing done in your relationship cannot be be forgiven or worked out. I pray for you both because i cannot imagine what you both are going through. The only fact i think i can honestly deduct from this site about your relationship is that you both honestly loved each other very much. Love makes you do crazy things-some that you may regret later, but if its meant to be you can both workout your relationship, but only if God is the center of that relationship.

Candace and Thad don’t pay attention to any of these negative comments. God has his own plan and provides opportunites in crazy, crazy times. You both need to follow your heart without the influence of anyone else except God and your hearts. I am optimistic by nature and instead of focusing on the negative i see the positive in every situation.
So Thad got arrested and his political career ended-so what? This could be his opportunity to be a better man and friend to someone by all accounts truly loves and wants to spend his life with making him capable of meeting her needs.
So Candace filed charges and maybe took it to far(unless he threatened her) which even by her attorney’s comments on the news that did not happen-so what? Maybe she felt that needed to be done to be heard and maybe now the message has been received.
This is an opportunity for you both. Sometimes you have to go through hell to get to heaven. Who cares what anyone says or comments. Looking back over the course of both of your lives-which based on your ages you have probably lived almost half of your life to this point or at least 40%-isn’t love the most important of it all? Dramatic situations like this allow both parties to grow and become stronger as a couple. If half of the passion exists as in these pics from the other posts-both of your love for each other is stronger than most couples I know in this world.
Final comment. READ CAREFULLY. Both of your friends, family, and confidents will try to dissuade you both to follow your hearts or manipulate you both that the other are behind some of these aweful comments. DO NOT LET THEM. Its not their lives, or their hearts-Its the heart of Candace Bessinger and Thad Viers. Follow your hearts, trust in God, and both of you believe in love with each other and for each other.
