For a website that has consistently railed against the Bowl Championship Series (and bitched and moaned about the bowl system in general), we’ve certainly been having more fun than usual this season.
A big part of that enjoyment stems from the fact that our founding editor’s alma mater – the University of South Carolina – won its first bowl game in five years this week, defeating Nebraska 30-13 in the Capital One Bowl en route to the first 11-win season in school history.
Making our joy even sweeter? The opportunity we were afforded to pile on the poor Cornhuskers – who didn’t exactly lose with grace.
Oh … and let’s not forget the snarky preview we wrote about what’s become of the Orange Bowl.
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it?
