S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley’s gleeful new “it’s a great day in South Carolina” telephone greeting – now mandatory for state employees – is generating quite a bit of criticism.
Aside from the fundamental inaccuracy of the greeting, the salutation is being ripped as gimmicky at a time when South Carolina needs serious solutions to combat its chronic, um, “un-greatness.”
But can anybody out there do better? Here’s your chance …
How do you think South Carolina’s state employees should answer the phone? Post your suggestions for the “official State of South Carolina greeting” into our comments section below. We’ll choose the five most creative responses and then let our readers vote on which one is the best.
The winner will receive a free “I Slept With Nikki Haley (And All I Got Was This Lousy Unemployment Rate)” T-shirt.
