Eckstrom Took Money From “Friggin Mormons”
S.C. Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom – who derisively referred to former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman as a “friggin’ Mormon” on a voicemail to one of his ex-mistresses – apparently had no problem cashing checks from other Mormon politicians.
Prior to the 2008 “First in the South” presidential primary, Eckstrom received $1,000 from the political action committee of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Eckstrom is Presbyterian, although based on his recent scandals it’s pretty clear he doesn’t practice. Also clear? Eckstrom isn’t likely to get any more Mormon money anytime soon.
