Coincidence?

Believe it or not, there’s a totally pointless gathering of governors that South Carolina’s Nikki Haley actually isn’t attending …

It’s the annual meeting of the Southern Governor’s Association – and it’s being held this weekend in Asheville, North Carolina (at one of Haley’s favorite resorts, no less).

So .. why isn’t Haley going? Well, for starters she’s in Texas … but there may be another reason for her absence. Asheville is also hosting a “topless” rally at one of its downtown parks – part of a nationwide women’s rights campaign sponsored by the website GoTopless.org.

“As long as men can go topless, women should have the same constitutional right, or men should also be forced to wear something that hides their chests,” the organization says.

Apparently in North Carolina, they already have that right.

“They can breast away,” a local police officer told The (Asheville, N.C.) Citizen Times, citing the state’s boob-friendly indecent exposure statute. “It’s not a crime.”

Awesome right?

Well … unless of course you were chairwoman of the S.C. General Assembly’s Itty Bitty Titty Committee.
