Remember Linnea Eckstrom?
She’s the daughter of South Carolina’s “Creepy Comptroller” Richard Eckstrom, a girl who wisely sided with (and financially supported) her mother Peggy Eckstrom during the couple’s high-profile divorce proceedings earlier this year.

Richard Eckstrom’s creepy texts and emails during his extramarital affair with former SCGOP Superintendent of Education candidate Kelly Payne have become the stuff of S.C. political legend (and not in a good way). Of course it could get even worse for Eckstrom, we’re told, as some of the emails and texts that have yet to be released paint an even less flattering portrait of the 62-year-old GOP slimeball …
Specifically, we’re told that Eckstrom had some less-than-flattering things to say about his own daughter (ouch).
In addition to his recent affair with Payne, over a decade ago Eckstrom settled a sexual harassment suit filed against him while he was serving as State Treasurer. The woman, Leanne R. Johnson, received $57,000 from South Carolina taxpayers as a result of the settlement. More recently, Eckstrom has reportedly told several sources about another affair that he has been having with an elected official in another state.
A spokesman for the elected official – who works in Oklahoma – has denied the allegation.
Despite all of this drama, Eckstrom was not only reelected Comptroller last November – but was placed in command of the South Carolina State Guard earlier this month.
