In the most extensive, intimate and detailed interview he’s ever given (about anything), FITS founding editor Will Folks appeared Sunday on Alphonse FM – one of South Carolina’s up-and-coming internet radio shows.
And yes … a wave of controversy will no doubt follow as a result of his appearance, which delved deeper into his 2007 “inappropriate physical relationship” with then-S.C. Rep. Nikki Haley than any previous interview ever conducted.
“If (Folks) is lying … then he’s a psychopath,” one of the show’s co-hosts tweeted following his hour-long appearance. “(He) was utterly believable.”
Wow. Let’s hope the reviews from Sic’s forthcoming book Mud, Sex and Beers are that good.
Anyway, just as websites like FITS are steadily encroaching on the legacy newspaper outlets, internet radio shows like Alphonse FM are steadily encroaching on traditional radio. And interviews like this one are the reason why.
Beyond the Haley-related details, Folks …
*Recalls seeing Mark Sanford in his tighty whiteys (in West Virginia, of all places).
*Calls his ex-fiance crazy.
*Admits that his blogging career started with an accidental mouse click.

ALPHONSE FM: THE WILL FOLKS INTERVIEW
***

By Capiyol Dome Piegon July 3, 2011 at 8:15 pm
I have always believed Folks was telling the truth. The rumors were quietly spoken and I heard all about he and Rep. Haley from lexington, way back in 2007/2008. Why would this be spoken so prominently back then? Nobody knew who she was and didn’t care. She was a loose legged nobody, with a bad reputation, there were others so, just another pair of hot britches in the Capitol. A dime a dozen.
By Meg July 3, 2011 at 8:20 pm
I agree with the rumors of Haley being loose legged. I’m from Lexington and that’s certainly been the talk around our community for several years. I’m just surprised Folks and others would want that “nasty stuff.”. Ew!
By Capiyol Dome Piegon July 3, 2011 at 8:47 pm
Like we piegons say about the loosey gooseys, “If they had as many sticking out, as has been stuck in, they’d be a porcipine.”
By Alphonse July 3, 2011 at 10:48 pm
Thanks for coming on the show. I still think Dead Agent Caper needs a reunion tour.
By Pee Dee Fellow July 3, 2011 at 11:29 pm
Great podcast!
By Is this SHIITE for real July 4, 2011 at 3:24 am
Y’all are so right. She and her whole family have had a really bad rep. around Lexington for the last few years. True they were run out of Bamberg??? She and her whole Randhawa/Singh family are not thought too well of, at least not in Lexington. Con artists are a dime a dozen.
By Media Whiz July 4, 2011 at 6:59 am
That podcast was most excellent. Perhaps Alphonse will host a monthly Fits gig?
By Step to the Right July 4, 2011 at 8:19 am
Being “loose-legged” is an accepted ‘National Pastime’ with the advent of “anything goes” culture – except for those who still cling to their guns and Bibles. Few Americans see marriage as particularly important anymore and one would do much better in a court of law if someone wrecked into them in a car versus being caught committing adultery. No one cares and there are no consequences in society for cheating. I will vote for someone who cheats vs. someone who gladly announces that “raising taxes on the rich” is the best way to solve our dept problems -especially if that is my only option. It’s my money – It’s their reputation.

Kim’s Nikki love letter is posted on a couple other sites are well. What a joke.
By The Coincidence July 4, 2011 at 9:08 am
“there are no consequences in society for cheating” Add complete denial on national TV, and this Republican is following Ensign and Weiner out of office.
By Unicorn July 4, 2011 at 9:19 am
Sic said on Alphonse that the Wilber consulting mess will sink her first.
By Get Real July 4, 2011 at 9:53 am
Sic, you should do this more often. Very entertaining. Seriously.
By keystone cop July 4, 2011 at 10:43 am
I agree with Sic. The Wilber Smith scandal certainly appears to be selling her vote. I’m sure Wilbur is very concerned about it. I’ve heard they expect the FBI to call any day. This is the same type of activities that launched Lost Trust, a few years back.
Lexington medical center would, most probably, be considered in the same Vein. The Rico Statue would likely apply and with her proclivity to lie; well, lying to investigators would be the cherry topping.
By Media Whiz July 4, 2011 at 10:56 am
Former Governor Blago’s trial…actually trail and retrail, oh so recent…you would think, should perk the senses of Haley’s Inner Circle. No question Haley will lie to authorities, but will her cronies follow her lead. The SC AG may be asked to intervene. Mitchell spent 19 months in prison, while Nixon skated after resigning. Does history repeat itself on the state level???
By Media Whiz July 4, 2011 at 10:59 am
Make that…trial, sorry. Still, hey, there was a long trail of dishonest clowns involved with Blago, before the trial.
By Susan July 4, 2011 at 11:04 am
I’m just not sure about Nikki Haley at this point. It’s impossible for me to figure out if the ole boy network is just trying to destroy her because she is getting in the way of how things are done in SC, or if she is truly incompetent. I have a pretty clear picture of what she is up against, so I’ll try to judge her on actions rather than on what politicos who have driven this state into the ditch for years have to say about her.
By Popeye July 4, 2011 at 11:06 am
Excellent comments. Now joining us and keystone cop will be the panel of OWB, Outsourced, Boz. Welcome Gentlemen & Ladies, what do you make of all this?
By Popeye July 4, 2011 at 11:27 am
BTW, an invitation has been extended to Alphonse. We have yet heard if he has accepted.
By Carol July 4, 2011 at 11:32 am
Unfortunately, it is her past actions concerning Wilber, LMC, Folks, and Marchant which will determine her destiny.
By bogart July 4, 2011 at 2:59 pm
Great interview, bet you had nightmares Will after seeing King David in his Fruit of the Looms.Even worse nightmares had there not been an extra bed.Tell us Will, did Sanford have reason to thank God for small blessings?
By Bollywood July 4, 2011 at 4:05 pm
Yes, cos Nikki told him that size doesn’t matter.
By Wizno July 4, 2011 at 5:41 pm
Alphonse, why don’t you pop on here a profess your unwavering love for Nikki???
By Alphonse July 4, 2011 at 6:20 pm
Wizno,
Not sure that I love Nikki but I do share Sic’s view that she’s an attractive lady.
By won't fool me again July 4, 2011 at 9:29 pm
@ The coincidence and Step To the Right,
“There are no consequences to Cheating”
I beg to disagree.
Has it helped Swartzeneger…don’t think so?
How about Anthony Weinie (Weiner)?
Maybe John Edwards could still run for office..NOT?
Took down Bob Peeler’s political career.
Little Dick (Richard Eckstrom) will probably bite the dust?
Did it help Gov. Sanford….uh no?
Gov Nikki agreed to resign if proved to be a cheat? let us pray….
By b July 4, 2011 at 10:26 pm
Sic Willie, Enjoyed listening to the program
By Wacko July 4, 2011 at 11:29 pm
Ah, Alphonse, lets not get carried away. Sic did say “attractive” but it was more like googling her caboose strapped in that pink suit outfit or whatever. His mind was on doggie action, not the whole package……obviously.
By Observer July 5, 2011 at 7:26 am
Sic will post the DNA results, showing copious amounts of evidence in Nikki’s boy shorts. Nikki will admit to the fair, with Timmy beside her, not the cuckhold….but she will refuse to resign. Mainstream media eviscerates her, the publisher scams, and……..
By Cat July 5, 2011 at 10:03 am
I always believed you, Sic!
By Dog July 5, 2011 at 12:06 pm
I need that DNA evidence posted first.
By Fish July 5, 2011 at 12:13 pm
Pictures, where are the pictures????
By willblogformoney July 5, 2011 at 7:40 pm
This is getting really boring. I’m afraid if you don’t fuck another politician soon you are heading into oblivion. Maybe Sheehan will give up the leather cheerio for you.
