In an effort to silence his political rivals and put an end to the “birther movement” once and for all, U.S. President Barack Obama released copies of his birth certificate on Wednesday.
“We do not have time for this kind of silliness,” Obama said in releasing the document, which has become the focal point of considerable controversy thanks to the efforts of billionaire real estate mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump, a would-be rival to Obama in 2012.
While campaigning in 2008, Obama released copies of a “short-form” version of his birth certificate. It is unclear why he waited so long to release the “long-form” document.
Anyway, here is the official Obama birth certificate:
Trump, a rumored 2012 presidential candidate, has been investigating claims that Obama was born outside of the United States – and thus ineligible to serve as president (or run for reelection in 2012).
“I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they’re finding,” Trump told NBC earlier this month.
In releasing his birth certificate, Obama blasted purveyors of the birther movement as peddling a “side show,” calling them “carnival barkers.”
Trump claimed victory on Wednesday, saying he was “proud” that his efforts compelled Obama to release the document.
“I’ve accomplished something that no one else has been able to accomplish,” Trump said. “Our president has finally released a birth certificate.”
It’s unclear what impact any of this will have on Trump’s rumored candidacy – or more importantly on the mindset of voters he is attempting to woo.
According to a poll released last week, 48 percent of Iowa GOP voters said they do not believe that Obama was born in America while another 26 percent said they were unsure. Only 26 percent said they believed Obama was natural born U.S. citizen. Many have speculated that Trump was focusing on the “birther” issue in an effort to appeal to those voters, who will cast the first GOP presidential ballots in less than a year.
As we’ve said from the beginning of this debate, we don’t care where Obama was born – or for that matter what he believes. We care about the disastrous policies that he and his socialist allies in Washington, D.C. have inflicted upon this country over the last few years (trillions in deficit spending, an unconstitutional socialized medicine law and repeated government intrusions into the free market).
“We are unilaterally opposed to his administration based on its unprecedented fiscal liberalism and outright contempt for individual liberty and the American free market,” we wrote last summer.
In fact, earlier this month we criticized Trump for pandering to the “birther movement.”
“If we were compiling a list of things Trump should refrain from doing if he wants to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate, we would put embracing the birther movement right up there with dropping out of the race altogether,” we wrote at the time.
For South Carolinians – who also have an early say in the 2012 election – Obama’s recent efforts to strip tens of thousands of jobs from the Palmetto state should suffice as a reason to oppose him.

Really? There are people smart enough to use the internet that STILL think he’s faking this somehow?

It has to be a fake. It doesn’t say he’s a muslim.

All the more reason why we should not elect Donald Trump if he should decide to run for the Presidency. If he does not trust what has been honestly told, does that mean he is not trustworthy?
By Rijiv April 27, 2011 at 12:14 pm
Was not Nikki born in India? So many different stories, it is hard to decide. If Nikki is unclear, this Trump will question her run for President as well.
By Asha April 27, 2011 at 12:16 pm
Nikki is a methodist. Her experience with many men will allow her to have her way with Trump. She gives her milk away for free.
By Jim April 27, 2011 at 12:17 pm
Its fake. Why do you think Obama sent his counsel to pick it up? Obama’s Muslim family has been planning this since birth. Mr. Trump said, he sent investigators and it was amazing what they found out. Ask Michelle Bachman, she knows the truth. Ask John Boehaner, he knows the truth. The Muslims have taken over this country without a shot. Soon Obama will declare Martial Law and it will be Sharia Martial Law.

My question to Trump is, where was your hair born? It can’t be American. The truth, Donald, please.

Many people think Oily Taintz* started the birther movement. She was a leader of it for a time, but it got the most traction from whacko Democrat rabble-rouser Cliff Kinkaid, a die-hard Hillary Clinton supporter, during the Dem primaries of ’08 and beyond. Kinkaid’s “findings” were even cited by some Clinton surrogates for a time — then even after Obama was elected continued to have some resonance for a while in the “PUMA” (Party Unity My Ass) and “Just Say Hell No!” contingencies of the die-hard Hillaryites.
Was it dirty tricks from the start? I dunno. Maybe.
Was it dirty tricks for Jim Clyburn and his daughter to allegedly start the ball rolling on the whole “Clinton voters are racist” smear in South Carolina, and allegedly work with the SEIU and Acorn to intimidate potential Clinton voters at the polls in rural SC towns?
If true, hell yeah it was.
Hopefully now, the whole birther thing will die the death it deserves, and people will concentrate on the REAL problems — and there are MANY — with keeping Barack Obama as POTUS.
* Yeah, yeah, I know, I just like to spell it that way.

Why did it take two years for Obama to release his BC?

By Jim April 27, 2011 at 2:40 pm
You tell them Randy. We know the truth. Obama is an America hating Muslim socialist. He was born in Kenya and his mother brought him to this country, and lied about where he was born. She convinced a couple of newspapers to run fake birth announcements, and that is all they have to prove he was born here. The rest Obama’s Muslim socialists allies faked. This has been their plan all along.
I’ll bet they can’t get testimony from a real American who was there when he was born who is not a Muslim or Socialist.

Just as the morning Sun rose into the sky, White Feather stepped out of his teepee, gave a war cry and announced the birth of his new daughter, White Mist.
As the other children gathered around the teepee White Feather noticed his oldest son sitting alone on the river bank. He went over and asked him why such a long face.
The eldest son responded with a question, Father how did you come up with our names?
Well, the first thing I saw when I stepped outside this morning was white mist everywhere. When your brother, Thunder, was born it was during a big storm and Bright Moon was born on a night that looked like day.
Enough my son. No more foolish questions about birth and names. It is time go and enjoy what we have before us. Don’t you agree Two Dogs Fucking.
By Alvin April 27, 2011 at 3:09 pm

John McCain released his bc in one – two days when demanded by the media.
Why did it take over 2 years for BO to release his bc?
By Jan April 27, 2011 at 6:09 pm
Yea, I always worried about McCain. He was born in Panama. I don’t see how that makes him a “natural born” citizen. Some courts have said being born on a US military base qualifies a person as a natural born citizen, but not all agree; and that is not in the US Constitution.
Also, how do we know he was not born outside of the US base in a hospital in Panama. His father, who was a military officer from a long line of well connected military officers could easily have arrange for a fake military birth certificate showing he was born on the base???

By eggaday April 27, 2011 at 6:30 pm
isn’t the real issue that one parent was not an American citizen?
By RAS April 27, 2011 at 6:49 pm
Obama released the “short form” of his birth certificate some time ago. What the “birthers” were after was the “long form”. And it was not because they doubted his place of birth or citizenship. What they suspected (and hoped) was that the long form would have his religion listed as Muslim. Wrong again. Probably the Obama camp held back on releasing the long form, waiting for it’s political value to increase. Then along came the hotshot Mr. Trump. No doubt The Donald will clean the egg from his hair before he worries about his face.
By tomstickler April 27, 2011 at 6:50 pm
Shit, the fun’s over now. If Obama was listening to me, he would never have shown his “long-form,” but continued to secretly enjoy watching the birthers show their ass.
And, if any interviewer was dumb enough to quiz him about it on camera, just give him the dead-eye, and say “Question asked and answered: next!”
By Awe shucks Tom April 27, 2011 at 7:00 pm
The fun isn’t over yet, the next question asked it why he didn’t release it back when Hillary first brought it up and then spent money on attorney’s cock blocking its release.
So they’ll be a little more fun the Left can squeeze out of it before it’s all said and done.
By Ki$$myconservativea$$ April 27, 2011 at 8:13 pm
Obama released the birth certificate because it distracted from addressing more serious issues, like his campaigning for votes and money.
By Joe April 27, 2011 at 9:41 pm
Whew…glad he finally released that birth certificate so he can get serious about the issues. Like flying off to Chicago for a sit-down with Oprah and then flying off to New York and a swanky re-election fund-raiser.

A joke that is over twenty years stale, followed by the same hand puppet(s) who remarks with innuendo and scatalogical humor about the same certain female and thus confirming that the original poster is the greatest thing since sliced bread. “I have told this joke many times, touching my hand to my breast, and I chuckle every time I tell it.” Guffaw, as I kiss my own arse. Asked above, “isn’t the real issue that only one parent was a citizen?”
OK. Let’s get it straight. Only a natural born citizen can be president of the United States.
Case law dating back to the 1800s, citing precedent in English common law going back to the 1600s, is clear and what defines what a natural born citizen is. Unless a child born in this country is the child of a diplomat or consular official of another nation, a child born here is a natural born citizen.
My mother was an Irish citizen at the time of my birth. I was born here.
I’m a citizen.
End of story.
The birher controversy started because idiots said he wasn’t a citizen because he was born in Hawaii and Hawaii wasn’t yet a state.
But it was, of course. Then they switched tacks. And again, and again and again.
It is now proved he was born in a U.S. state. But still, attacks persist.
“Isn’t the issue that only one parent was a citizen?”
No. Just give it a rest. This movement has been wrong for two and half plus years. Give it a rest.
By Jim April 28, 2011 at 11:33 am
Now calm down OhNoNotAgain. In South Carolina, you can be President if your mother’s Irish, unless she is Black Irish. Then we have to think about it.

Here’s is Fox News’ response. Their opinion is that its the democrats’ fault for the ridiculousness of the birther movement and that Obama’s administration isn’t transparent. There’s no, ok, we were wrong or I agree that this was silly. These nut jobs would argue the sky is green if it meant spinning an issue against Obama. They are so tainted.
